So... me and two of my friends had just finished an experiment so I (being the 'nerd' in the group) am still copying down the last few notes on the experiment. So I ask my friend if she can put away the Bunsen burner and for my other friend to put away the tripod and heat proof mat so I can put away the dangerous stuff (because they won't dare touch them in fear of it getting on them).
So one friend starts unplugging the Bunsen but she forgot to turn off the gas tap. So the next thing I know, I hear a quiet roar and a strange heat on the side of my head so I look up and:
"Well then..."
I look at the fire only inches away from me whilst my friend is freaking out about how she almost killed me. So even though I was almost burnt to death, I still had to turn off the gas tap!
But honestly, the gas caught on the Bunsen burners flame making all the gas which came out the tap already on fire. So... it was mad fire, everyone near me was freaking out and (as per usual) I was the one who almost died and the one that kept my cool 😂😂😂
I should seriously start walking around with like a hazard light attached to my head!
