AN: I'm sorry, I just had to write this chapter. It popped in my mind and I couldn't get it out. It's GaLe and a hint of Mira x Fried. Enjoy!

Chapter 2: Transmogrification Cuteness

Our favorite bluenette and Iron Dragon sat across from each other in the guild's empty library. Unaware that they were being targeted by a certain white haired barmaid.

"Watcha readin' Shrimp?" asked Gajeel.

"It's a book Mirajane asked me to translate for Master Makarov." She replied.

"So far it seems to be a simple spell book. I won't know more until I finish the translation, but be careful. Any random outburst could trigger a spell." She warned.

With that remark, she dived back in, completely engrossed in her work.

Mirajane frowned.

Gajeel sighed. It was boring the Iron Dragon Slayer to tears sitting there with no one to talk to. Suddenly, he had an idea.

"Shrimp, why're you so short?" he asked, trying to get a rise out of the Script Mage.

It worked.

She bristled. "I'm not short." she said hotly.

"How tall are you?" He teased "Four Three? Four four?"

"I'm four foot five and a quarter. Happy?!"

"AYE!" said Gajeel.

The book began to shake.

"Oh no." She gasped, eyes widening.

"What's the 'oh no'?!" Said Gajeel.

"We set off a spell!" She yelled "Run!"

They booked it towards the exit, only to run into a wall of runes.

Levy and Gajeel pounded their fists against the purple marks, trying to break free.

A small square of runes shot out from the rest. Levy read them aloud.

"The people in these runes shall not leave until

A) The transformation spell has been cast.

B) The people entrapped admit their unyielding love for each other."

"Barmaid!" Gajeel snarled.

Mira cracked a grin from the other side of the runes. Thank you, Fried.

The library was bathed in a blinding light, and for our trapped couple, the world went dark.

"Ow." Levy whimpered as she stretched out her back. Her joints popped painfully.

"Gajeel?" she squeaked. She cleared her throat and called a little louder "Gajeel!"

She heard a cough from her left. Gajeel was splayed out on the ground, fast asleep.

The bluenette sighed in relief. Typical Gajeel. Then she began to notice their surroundings.

They were still in the library, but everything was HUGE! It all looked weird, too. Like someone had sharpened her vision ten fold. The sun was really bright, too.

As she lifted a paw to-

Wait...

"PAW?!" she squealed.

She sprang to her feet, all four of them, and looked at herself.

She was a cat. A small, cute cat. Her fur was all blue, save for a small white patch on her left scapula. She craned her neck backwards. Wow, even a tail.

She wagged the furry appendage, making sure it was indeed her tail, and walked over to Gajeel.

He was still fast asleep. Though why he was human Levy did not know. It was probably something to do with his Dragon-ness.

She the preceded to bat his nose with her tiny paws, yelling all the while, "Wake up, Stupid Gajeel!"

He stirred.

"What do you think you're doing, cat?" He grumbled, picking her up by her scruff.

"Put me down!" she yelled.

"Why're you yowling so much? I didn't mean to hurt you." he mumbled. He stood up, looking about as he did so.

"Where's Shorty?" He wondered. "I don't suppose you know. Gihihi." he laughed as he put her gently down on the table.

"I'm Levy!" she meowed stubbornly.

He sat down and placed his chin on the table so he was eye level with Levy.

"You remind me of her." he cocked an eyebrow, as if in deep thought. "Wait. The spell! The runes! That stupid barmaid! It is you?!" He yelled shocked.

Levy nodded her head vigorously.

"Gihi, you look cute, Shrimp."

"Stupid Gajeel." she growled.

"Well, I'm gonna go kill a barmaid." He smirked "You wanna come?"

She meowed loudly in response. He took that as a yes, and put her up on his shoulder.

The two then stomped, courtesy of Gajeel, through the door and out into the hall with a simple death in mind for a romantic demon.
