A white lab coat whispered across the cold grey tiles in the mansion.

The small form of Levy McGarden burst into the laboratory.

"Jet! Droy!" She yelled, startling her teammates to attention.

The two ran to her side. "What? What'd you find?"

She smiled and waved a sheet of paper high in the air.

"I found the alloy for the wires! It's sure to work." She clutched the paper to her chest. "Begin the preparations."

"Aye sir!" They shouted.

Levy made her way to the table up on a raised platform. A sheet laid there, covering a human shaped form. Levy McGarden began applying the iron solute to the exposed wires, muttering to herself all the while.

"The trace amounts of iron will differentiate the electrical flow from the lightning. It'll work."

She rubbed the last of the solute on the receptors on the table

"It has to work." She muttered, cleaning the excess from the receptors and wires.

"Finished!" The duo cried out, ready for the next experiment.

With a booming voice she announced, "Jet, Droy! Pull... THE SWITCH!!!"

The huge red switch thumped to the ground, sending thousands of millions of volts of electricity through the wires covered in the solution of iron.

The form under the cloth convulsed once, twice, three times before it laid still.

Levy nodded at her henchmen, and they released the switch.

She walked to the body. With a swift tug she took off the sheet. The white cover billowed to the floor.

With two fingers she felt for a pulse on its throat. Yet, none could be found.

A single tear fell down her face.

She stroked the long dark hair she'd come to love and cherish, and held his pierced face with the other hand.

The body of Gajeel Redfox was cold and lifeless under her gentle touch.

She heard the door creak closed, Jet and Droy letting her have a moment, like they did with every failed attempt.

She let her tears flow freely now.

"Today would've been seven years Gajeel." She smiled through the tears. "I wish you could see it. Natsu and Lu-chan have had their little girl, Ashlee. Natsu said her name had to have SOMETHING to do with fire, so they compromised. Ash-for Natsu and the lee- after Lucy's grandfather."

Levy held his hand as her sad smile dissipated. "I wish you could see me too Gajeel. I've actually grown some, a sixteenth of an inch, and my hair is longer.

She paused. "I wish you could see our son." The tears intensified. "Taylor is so big, and he looks just like you." Another smile peeked through. "He's big and strong, and he wants to follow your footsteps. He can roar Gajeel. Just like a true Dragon Slayer. Just like you."

She leaned in and kissed his pale forehead. "I miss you, Gajeel."

She let go of the Dragon Slayer's cold hand and returned the sheet to its proper place.

She cleaned the iron solute off all the equipment, making sure to safely fold the messy rag and throw it in the bin.

She made her way out of the laboratory, looking back for only a second as she shut the massive wooden doors.

The lock clicked into place. She let out a sigh.

Suddenly she was tackled from behind.

"Hahaha! Got you Momma!" A seven year old's voice crowed from her back as he thought he'd successfully "pinned" her.

She let out a fake sigh, trying to conceal a grin. "So you did, so you did. I give up, you got me."

Taylor let out a chuckle, his chest puffed out with pride. "Ummhmm. 'Cause I'm the bestest Dragon Slayer! Ain't that right Momma?"

"Yeah yeah yeah." She gave him a sarcastic smile to let him know she was joking. "Tell you what, you're seven years old now right?"

Taylor nodded enthusiastically.

Levy smiled.

"I think it's about time you got your Guild Mark."

Taylor beamed from ear to ear.

AN: Hi guys! I'm sososososo sorry I didn't get this up on time. Life's been ca-ray-zee. Anyway, I hope you liked this chapter. The plot took a totally different turn than what I originally planned. Did you guys like the baby names :D! I just about had a conniption. I think my next little fic might be about Natsu and Lucy choosing baby names. Also if you guys read my other book, I'm sorry for not updating that one either. My plot bunnies have taken an Unscheduled hibernation. My friend gave me a good idea though and I'll work on that soon. And 2.8k reads!!!! Wow! Thank you so much! I FEEL LOVED! As always,
