When Alice arrives home she offers to drive us to the theater for us to see a movie. Phil and I both agree.

We try to decide on a good movie to watch, and we both end up choosing some horror demon movie.

It's probably going to be terrible, as it only has 1.4 stars out of 5, but that's why we chose it. Just so we can make fun of it the whole time.

We buy tickets and then go to the snack booth. Alice gave us 45 dollars for tickets and snacks, so we have 30 to spend on snacks.

We get a tub of popcorn, two large drinks, and a bunch of boxed candy. This is going to be great.

It turns out that this movie is so terrible, that we're the only ones who want to see it.

We're all alone in the theater, so we can make fun of it out loud and laugh and talk. Or at least Phil can..

"Oh my god that possession is so fake!" Phil says, shoving more popcorn into his mouth. I laugh and roll my eyes.

I open one of the boxes of Skittles we got and pour some into my hand.
"I mean, her eyes fell out and he still loves her! She's freaking possessed, man, get out of there!" Phil yells at the screen.

As I was chewing when he said this, I snorted and we both started laughing at that.

Phil spills the rest of the half full tub of popcorn. I gasp, then start laughing at him again.
"Noooo!" He exclaims, laughing so hard he's crying.

Skittles? I sign, offering the box. He throws the box at me and spills the Skittles all over.

I gape at him. He starts laughing. I throw a handful of popcorn from the ground at him. He squeals and throws some back. This food fight, no, food war goes on for a while, then we end up getting kicked out.

"You have so much popcorn in your hair, Dan." Phil says. We're sitting on the curb outside.
I roll my eyes.

"What now?" He asks. I shrug.
"We could take a walk, or go to the library or something." He says.

Okay. I sign. He stands and then pulls me up with him. I don't know this town too well, so Phil leads the way.

"Darn! The library's closed, what now?" Phil says once we approach the now closed library.
Let's just go back to mine and watch a movie there or something. I sign.
"Okay, sounds good to me." He says. We walk back to my house and Alice is very shocked that we're home so early.

"We were kicked out for having a food war, sorry Alice.." Phil explains.
"Oh my gosh, Dan there's popcorn in your hair!" She says, brushing and picking through my fringe. I duck away from her.

"Well, you two can go watch something in the living room. Dinner will be ready soon, Phil would you like to stay for dinner?" She asks.

"Sure, I mean if it isn't any trouble." He says.
"Oh not at all. You boys have fun." She says, winking at me. I roll my eyes.

"What was the wink for?" Phil asks me. I shrug, but Alice now knows I'm gay because of my confession last night, so the wink was probably because of that.

We don't end up watching another movie. Instead, we talk and talk about meaningless things until dinner is ready. It feels nice to have a friend.

After Phil leaves, Alice starts questioning me about him.
"Do you like Phil?" She asks.
I don't know, I only met him like 3 days ago! I sign.

"Exactly! You two have clicked faster than anyone I've ever seen!" She exclaims.
So?
"My point is, you have heart eyes for him Dan, and he does for you too." She says. I roll my eyes again.

"Just, make phan happen before I die, okay?" She says.
What the hell is phan?
"Yours and Phil's ship name of course!" She says.

I groan and go upstairs.
