You admire her from afar
With thoughts of awe
What complex soul
With the jagged edges of a sawShe is an enigma
The undiscovered code
What thoughts does she think
How heavy is her loadShe's not cool
She's not hot
She's just herself
Or maybe you forgotHow to depict
Someone like her
Can you define
Who you once were? You look around
And wonder what everyone else thinks
When they see her pain
That she writes down in inkYou try to define
The girl the world sees
You try to fit her
Into an analogyShe is like a sidewalk
Solid as concrete
Constantly walked over
By the oppressor's feetPerhaps a dictionary
Will be able to find
Her meaning in the world
That she wants to defineBut you decide to stop
As your search comes to an end
Isn't up to you
It's her life to mendIs it beyond words
To describe her?
To define her?
To know her?But really,
What is she?
Who is she?Well, crowd,
In the end,
She is simplyA girl.
