Lately I've been making the same mistakes
I don't want to make a promise I'll breakI'm unreliable
My failures are undeniableNo amount of mercy
Can prove I'm worthyTry, try, try again
How can I wear the diadem?I'm dirty, unworthy
Kneeling before the clergyA problem I can't solve
A priest couldn't absolveI desire to atone
But sin is set in stoneI beg to escape
But souls can't remakeCondemned at birth
Still wandering the earthA wretched soul
Playing the sinner's role.
