Chapter 27

~Prodigy's Pov~

As I coughed I grasped my chest my loud coughing causing people around to stare at me it wasn't long before blood started to spurt out of my mouth I ran into the bathroom and locked myself into the stall waiting for the cough to go down like it usually does but this time was different , it didn't stop I knelt over the toilet desperately coughing up blood I felt weak I became short of breath , I tried calling for help but I was too weak to use my voice , I felt my body go numb as my vision became blurred and I blacked out .......

I blinked my eyes open allowing them to adjust to my surroundings I looked at my body all hooked up to machines I coughed lowly

"Prodigy!" Bahja shot up from her seat and grasped my hand , her hand was shaky I looked at her , smiling halfway

"Hey.." I said lowly

"What happened too you?" Bahja asked

I tucked in my lips looking down

"Prodigy..." Bahja said looking at me

I sighed heavily ...

"Bahja...I , I have-"

"Prodigy!" Your up Bre exclaimed as she ran Into the room hugging me tightly

I grunted lowly

"Sorry..." Bre mumbled as she let go of me

"It's okay.."

"Um Bre , can you excuse me and Prodigy for a minute?" Bahja asked Bre

"...sure" Bre responded in a saddened tone getting up and walking out the door

Bahja pushed the door shut sitting on the edge of the bed

"Now what's wrong?" Bahja asked

"Bahja...promise me you won't tell the others.."

"I promise." Bahja said as she smiled a reassuring smile

"Bahja...listen what I'm about to tell you I don't want you worry about me."

"How am I not supposed to worry if I don't know what it is?" Bahja said chuckling

"This isn't easy but before we got out for summer vacation I was sick like very , very sick so I went to the doctor , and they told me I have...cancer...and they don't know if I was going to survive." I tucked in my lips allowing tears to stream down my face. "That's why I invited all of you on this trip so just in case I don't make it we'll have memories together.."

I looked up at Bahja she held her mouth gaped open I seen tears fall out the corner of her eyes I sat up wiping her eyes

"Prodigy..h-h-how could you keep this from us!" Bahja yelled

"Because I didn't want you to worry about me and that's exactly what your doing." I said softly resting my hand on her shoulder

"The others deserve to know Prodigy.."

"Bahja..I know , but I'll be okay."

"No you won't you don't even know what kind of cancer you have." Bahja spoke looking at me.

I tucked in my lips looking down.

"I'll tell them soon...just not now."

"Fine , but if you don't tell soon I will." Bahja said as she stood up

"Give me two weeks please Bahja."

"Two weeks Prodigy that's it." Bahja said walking out of the room..
