Cook shot up and off the bed, falling over a pair of pants on the floor, and jumping back up. "Uh, okay. Get the bag!" He exclaimed while yanking up his pants, buttoning them. He ran in and out of the room three or four times, yelling out other things that needed to be grabbed. Soon enough, I heard him running down the stairs, and a jingle of keys.

"James!" I yelled from my place on our bed "Don't you think you should grab your pregnant wife?!" A quiet 'shit' could be heard before Cook re-emerged into our room.

"Right, sorry." He helped me up off the bed, down the stairs, and out the door to the car.

We arrived at the hospital about 10 minutes later and Cook got me situated into a wheelchair to help us in the door faster. Once checked in, I was rushed off into a delivery room and hooked up to machines. A few nurses came into check the baby and I out as a few contractions hit. The nurses left and soon Cook and I were on our own. "You ready to be a dad?"

"Yeah, been ready." He smiled, taking my hand.

"Even three a.m feeding times?" K raised a brow

"Yes, babe, extremely ready."

Soon enough I was 10cm and ready to start pushing, the doctor positioned himself by my thighs to catch the baby when she came and the nurses started to hand the doctor the necessary tools when he called for them. I felt the urge to push, so I started to.

"She's crowning." Doctor Geyer smiled, and aided in helping push Ellie out. I kept pushing feeling more pain and some tears started to roll down my cheeks.

"You're doing great babe, just a little longer." Cook kissed my forehead as I pushed again

"James, I can't do it. I can't." I started shaking my head crying more. "It hurts too much."

"Yes you can, she's almost out, just a couple more big pushes." He reassured me and I did what he said; a big push

"You're doing great Leigh, her shoulders are on the way out. She should be out in no time." Geyer spoke, keeping his eyes trained on the baby. With one final push the baby came out and I felt relive almost instantly. Cook wiped my tears and gave me a couple kisses.

"You did it babe, I told you you could."
