recap:

Jack looked at you as your eyes almost seemed to flutter closed, "where do you want to go?" His voice was quieter than a whisper.

Your eyes opened again, softly observing Jack, "how about. . . the Forbidden City? In Beijing?"

While the two were strolling around, they discovered they had landed in Japan, the bright lights and different language making it obvious to the two that wherever they landed, it was somewhere they had never truly visited before.

Jack rolled onto his side, "not too far of a flight if I'm driving."

With a sarcastic gasp, you grasped at your chest, "good Moon, Manny please protect me!"

Jack grinned, "oh hardy har-har! And for that," he started, wrapping his arms around your waist, pulling you up, "you get to really enjoy the view on our way there."

You smacked Jack on the back as he flew up with you on his shoulder, "Jackson Frost, you better hold me like a lady or else I swear -"

Jack tipped you forward a little bit, making you scream before he pulled you back, laughter now bubbling out of you, "what was that? I don't know if I heard you right."

You felt the wind whip against your hair as you tried to shift yourself in Jack's arms, "Jack Frost, I am not kidding, you better hold onto me like you did when we first flew to Japan."

Jack had a small smile on his face, "and what's the magic word, Cupid?"

With a roll of your eyes, you mumbled, "please. . ."

He shifted his arms, giving you time to look at where you were; of course, right over the ocean, but close enough to the shore of China that you weren't too concerned about being dropped.

Jack tapped you, "what was that?"

You moved down, wrapping your arms around his neck, trying to get your legs to hook on somewhere, "please, Jack!"

The Guardian quickly wrapped his arms around your waist and moved you so one was behind your back, the other behind your legs. "Finally," you started, "I get to relax on this bumpy ride."

Jack let out a huff, but had a smile on his face as he held you close. You both reached the shore of China in no time, coming from the west side, making the trip to Beijing very quick. When you got there, it seemed as if people had maps to the Forbidden City everywhere. After hopping out of Jack's arms and grabbing a map off the ground, you opened it up to see where you were in regards to the Forbidden City.

You gasped, "look, Jack! We're not that far - only a few cities over."

Jack nodded his head slowly, "alright, so we're here? That red dot?"

Smiling, you turned to Jack, "yeah, see?" You felt a person walk through you, making you shiver, "think we can get there in no time?"

Jack looked at you quizzingly, "your pilot is offended that you'd even think we'd be behind schedule." With that, he hoisted you up into his arms once more, you grasping onto his neck and the map for dear life.

But you had to admit, Jack was right.

In no time, you both arrived at the Forbidden City, the palace towering over the two of you as you landed in front of it. Jack stared, "I thought it was a city?"

You shrugged, "it is, kinda. It's a complex where the ruler of China stayed until like. . . 1924, I believe? The emperor would stay here, along with the members of the government and the households."

Jack continued to nod along with every word you said, but only focused on the ways your eyes sparkled when you talked about something you were passionate about. He felt as if you could talk about the city forever and he'd never grow bored. Would he forget everything you said? Most certainly, but it was for good reasoning - you.

"Can we sit atop of the palace, Jack?" you asked, tugging on the sleeve of his sweatshirt.

Jack snapped out of his daydream, "yeah, yeah, of course, princess."

Even his own little nickname he gave you many moons ago, a time where he didn't look at you more than a friend, had started to make you feel dizzy and him nervous.

Jack hoisted you up into his arms once more, flying to the very top of the palace before landing and grabbing your hand, helping you sit down on the smooth architecture. You looked up at Jack, "thank you again for doing this, for this date. . . It truly means a lot to me that you even wanted to spend time with me."

The Frost Guardian looked at you before wrapping an arm around your waist, pulling you close, "of course I wanted to spend time with you, snowflake. This was the most fun I've had in a long, long time."

"Me too," you stated, "even though you definitely tried to kill me multiple times tonight."

Jack laughed before leaning down, placing a kiss upon your nose, "I think that's a bit overdramatic, don't 'cha think?"

You held a finger to your chin, "hmm. . . no. But I can think of something that's a bit overdue."

Jack pulled you close once more, "can't wait to hear this one, snowflake."

You leaned up, resting a hand on his cheek until he looked at you. His gaze fluttered to your lips until he saw you coming closer, deciding to fill in the gap that was aching to be closed. Your lips met, and you smiled into the kiss, feeling his other hand rest against your cheek.

Before long, you two pulled back and looked each other in the eyes; "your eyes sparkle. . . did you know that?" Jack asked, brushing his thumb along your cheek.

You giggled, "they sparkle? Since when have they done that?"

Jack nudged his nose with yours, "whenever you talk about something you love, or are interested in. . . It's breathtaking, really."

You smiled, "thank you, Jack, for everything. ."

Jack kissed your cheek before pulling you up again, having you 'koala' him before taking off in the direction of the North Pole.

Once home, your grip had loosened significantly and really you depended on Jack to keep you upright. As Jack walked throughout the hideout, his grip on you stayed the same, making sure you were asleep, comfortable, and not about to fall out of his arms.

He passed by several elves and Phil until he reached your room - your own little signature bow hanging in a picture frame to signify that was yours. As he walked inside, Jack carefully stripped you of your bow and arrows, leaning them against the wall before laying you down. The Frost Guardian felt your grip begin to slip before it tightened around him again, your mumbling a bit legible, asking him to stay.

Jack chuckled to himself before kicking off his shoes and laying next to you, making sure to wrap you up in your blankets to keep the cold - and the unknown monsters under your bed - away from your sleeping form.

Jack sighed to himself, "what a perfect date."
