"You don't really have a grandfather, do you?"
"No. Do you think you can help me though?" Luke asked, hope filling his voice.
"Oh yes, definitely," Cupid giggled.
LUKE STARED AT CUPID after she gave him the plan. He gave her an are-you-serious look. Cupid seemed to have read his mind and chuckled, "yes I'm serious, duh!"
Luke rubbed his face,"let me get this straight. . .you want Santa - well, North - to come here, make me start saying stories about him to CPS, make them believe and then North will sign the papers?"
"You got a better idea?" Cupid asked sassily, putting her hands on her hips. 'No wonder the plan is bad' Luke thought, smirking slightly. "Nope, no, good plan," he said, giving the guardian a thumbs up.
Cupid got her mini snowglobe she got for Christmas and whispered Workshop. She then threw it onto the ground and the portal appeared in front of one of the Yetis. She saw it was Phil and told him to shove North through the portal to them. With no hesitation, Phil nodded and did what he was told.
The Russian didn't look pleased, of course, being shoved through a portal during Cookie Time. "What is it that you NEED to throw me through a portal, Cupid?" North asked. "We need you to do us a favor," Cupid said, smiling as she explained her idea.
North looked at Cupid like she was crazy, but smiled along while nodding. Cupid grinned, "you'll do it?" she asked, her smile growing. North smiled at Luke whose eyes gleamed with hope, "yes. . .yeah, I'll do it."
Luke ran up to North and hugged him tightly. North hugged him back and you three headed out the door with Luke on your back to CPS.
After immediately getting an appointment, Luke sat in a room with an agent. "So," Luke started "I want someone who believes in Santa, like you said. And that's my grandfather, I know it," Luke finished. He stared at the middle-ages man in front of him, North was next to Luke in the office chair.
The older man closed his eyes for a few seconds and jolted back when he saw North. "Privet," North said, the nan nodding, "I am Luke's grandfather, North." He held out his hand to the agent, his eyes following the long beard and Christmas-themed outfit. "Hi. . .before we just send Luke off, there are a couple questions. . .are you going to take care of Luke?" the man asked.
North just smirked and nodded, "Of course." The older man asked a handful more of questions but then handed North a paper, signing it. Sure, the name North Sawyer was a bit odd the man ignored the feeling he had, accepting the signature. He shook hands with North and Luke as they headed their own ways.
The duo headed outside to where Cupid was waiting for them. "Well?" Cupid asked, smirking at them. Luke sighed heavily at her, "it worked,"he admitted, a smile forming.
Cupid grinned and ruffled his hair. He laughed and fixed his hair, sticking his tongue out at the two guardians. They laughed and North got his snowglobe, ready to head home.
He whispered Workshop this time and smashed it on the ground. Cupid went in first, yelling with excitement as North pushed Luke in, making him scream for mercy. Finally, North jumped into the portal, yelling in Russian.
They landed in the workshop, making all the guardians look at them weirdly. "We adopted a boy, my fellow guardians!" North exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air. "Oh my, mate what did ya do?" Bunny asked North, dragging his paws along his face.
The Russian looked shocked, "I didn't do anything, Bunny! This boy needed a home," he explained. Bunny turned to the lovey-dovey spirit, "Cupid, what did you do?" Her eyes went wide, "oh come on, seriously? He believes in me," she said, dragging the 'e' along to Bunny.
The other guardians discussed about Luke in a huddle, except Jack, Cupid and North. It was only Bunny, Tooth, the kids, and Sandy. Well, he just make pictures. "That's very kind of you, babe," Jack whispered, kissing her cheek softly. "I know, right? I'm pretty soft, I know," she admitted, laughing to herself.
Jack rolled his eyes and continued watching the other guardians. "Alright, we can keep him," Bunny said, smirking a little at the sight of the boy. Cupid laughed, "we were going to either way, yes or no!"
North arranged everything for Luke for the couple of days. He was staying in North's room where there was a separate room. He had his own bathroom as well, having his own privacy. It was all good and Cupid observed life, happy with how it was going.
A thought than ran through Cupid's head, making her jump up from her and Jack's bed. Her and Jack were having a mini make-out session.
Jack looked at Cupid confused, "what?" She looked back at her lover, "I forgot to thank North. . .be right back!" She kissed his cheek and wandered down the halls, ending up at North's door.
Cupid knocked, hearing some grumbles inside the room. The door then swung open, revealing North. "Ah, yes Y/N?" She smiled at his use of her human name.
Cupid smiled, "just. . .thank you, North." Shehugged him tightly, making him stiffen but then hug back. Cupid let go just as quick and skipped through the halls again, heading back to her room she shared with Jack.
