Angela Percy

It had been two days since the group of investigators had arrived.

In that time Mesa had been by to visit. He didn't stay long, he mentioned something about preparing his people and needing to talk strategy with Lane.

It was nice to be with him, even just for a little while, it felt complete when he was there.

When he left he promised he'd be there for the trial and went to look for Lane.

I'd also become more accustom to my wolf and I'd bonded more with the pack.

I lived for running... it was like I had found the piece of myself that had always been missing.

I even ran with the pack for the first time, I had finally found my family.

I hadn't seen much of Lane, he was busy with the investigation and the pack, but I'd been under the protection of Veronica and two other male guards so I was never really alone.

There had even been a guard with me when the lead investigator, Ulysses, had interrogated me.

  Flashback

I stepped into the room, and the guard, Sam, followed close behind.

"Sit," he motioned to the chair, the hairs in the back of my neck stood up and I could feel his glowing red eyes trained on me.

"Good Afternoon Luna," he said almost smugly, it made me want to shudder but I maintained a neutral expression and nodded respectfully.

I sat down in the chair at the table across from him and Sam stood by the door.

"Today I will be asking you a few questions regarding your side in all of this." He smirked and sat back in his seat. I nodded and waited for him to proceed.

"So, let's begin with the day you were attacked," he began.

I sat there for a few seconds, trying to prepare myself. "I was coming home from work and..."

    "And...?" He questioned.

"I am a scientist, I work at the National Park research lab nearby, we were working on a new wolf repopulation project," I explained.

He only nodded and waited for me to continue. "On my way home, I accidentally hit a wolf," I swallowed. "I love animals and I couldn't stand to see it suffer so I brought it home."

   "And then?"

"When I arrived home, I began trying to get the wolf inside, I later found that it was Lane's sister, Veronica..." I continued, leaving out my suspicions of it being her in the first place.

"Anyway, as I was trying to get her out of the back seat, a wolf approached me. It eventually attacked me..."

He was listening intently. "And, Lane saved my life, a couple days later I woke up here and I was severely injured. Lane did everything he could to avoid turning me, but in the end, I was dying. I consented." I replied.
