Waking the next morning wasn't easy to do at all.
I had one person jumping on my bed in hopes I'd even sit up, another coming in my room to toss a pillow at me and tell me it was time to get up. Ashleigh tried to lure me in with breakfast and Dre yelled from the kitchen about how we were going to be late because of me. Honestly, I just wanted to sleep and sleep as long as I could. I had early mornings and late nights on set. My sleeping schedule was fucked.
It wasn't until I smelled a hint of marijuana that a tired eye popped open and I looked towards the ajar bedroom door. My senses were fully focused. Pandora played distantly in the living room while everyone got ready, laughs and words exchanged between my friends.
Hailey stood now in front of me though, a lit blunt between two fingers. She wore a pair of ripped jeans and a white tee, her blonde hair down and still damp from the shower she had taken. The scent of the coconut shampoo was almost too intoxicating to stand.
"I got what you need." She said with a quiet laugh, waving the blunt in front of my face.
I sat up, my tattooed upper half not even clothed. She had noticed but it didn't seem to bother her. I remembered once my body had been covered with tattoos, she'd always complain about how I never wore a shirt anymore. So just to be an ass one day, I went everywhere with her with no shirt on. She had gotten so mad she bought me a shirt from Walmart and made sure it stayed on my body while we ran errands.
I took the blunt from her fingertips to take a puff from then another before handing it back over. She sat on the edge of the messy bed beside me, her eyes on the window I had kept open. The sunlight seemed to light her skin in this unbelievable way. I couldn't even explain it myself.
When it was once again my turn to take the blunt, she stood and headed for my suitcase. I didn't stop her. It wouldn't be the first time she had gone through my things. But the first thing she had laid her eyes on happened to be condoms and her eyes rolled at the sight.
"Such a boy." She murmured as I smirked and shrugged.
"A very clean and safe boy." I told her, finally standing from the bed.
I managed to find an ashtray that was left in my room to set the blunt in before I headed straight to the bathroom to head inside, shut the door, and relieve my bladder. I washed my hands and stepped back out.
"Well, well, well.." I heard, looking down the hall to see Ashleigh standing at the end with her arms crossed. "Look who's awake." She said as I held up my middle finger in her direction. She blew a kiss and the two of us departed in different directions.
Inside my room, Hailey already had an outfit set out for me. A pair of black denim ripped jeans, the words 'Rest In Peace' written by yours truly at the bottom of the rips. A dark tee to match and my all black boots sitting below it. Before I could reward her with a pat on the shoulder, she was pushing me into the bathroom with a clean towel.
"Shower, K!" She instructed as I sighed. I had that planned all along, she just seemed to have beat me to it.
As unprofessional as it was to be late, I was known for it. I was sure Dre had already gone to the venue just to check things out and make sure it was 'Machine Gun Kelly ready.' If it wasn't, he'd make adjustments quickly and without hesitation. The others were stuck babysitting my sleepy ass.
I started the shower, making sure the water was warm enough before I was stripping out of my sweats and boxers to take the first step in. I let out a sigh once that water beaded against my tattooed back, glad that Hailey even pushed me in here so quickly.
I washed my body and hair with haste once Ashleigh started pounding on the door about her leaving with Hailey and the rest of the crew and that they'd be at Drais. I was sure I'd have to get a quick breakfast and bounce as soon as I could. Dealing with Ashleigh and Dre's moods was always a buzz kill to my own.
