Leila's pov

"Where is she?" I heard behind me. Standing up immediately, I saw the one and only. Alaric James. My brother. Someone that is related to me. Tears came to my eyes seeing him right in front of me. Right when I thought I was all alone, I'm not anymore. I have my older brother now. I don't know how he found me, but that doesn't matter to me. "Lily." He breathed. He always called me lily. He didn't care much about my actual name. "Alarick." I cried, and ran towards him as he engulfed me into a hug. He held me tight, as we both shed tears. "I thought you were dead." He cried. I heard shuffling around us, but didn't bother to look. I was with my brother. "I thought you didn't care." I cried back. We held onto each other, both crying for a while, when we finally let go. Sighing, we both grabbed a tissue and wiped our eyes. "How are you?" He watched me with red eyes, as I sat down in a chair.

"Well let's see, I was  kidnapped three times, stabbed twice, broke three ribs, and I'm defending one of my kidnappers to get him out of prison. Other than that, I'm doing pretty good." I smiled. I looked over to Alaric, to see his mouth was wide open, and eyes wide. "Why would you - how could this - how did this happen!?" He yelled, frustrated. "It's a long story, actually." I fake laughed, as Alaric sat down in front of me. "I have plenty of time. Talk." Hesitating, I really looked at Alaric. He had an athletic body, brown eyes and hair. He seemed like everything was going good for him. That's usually what happens when you move out of your parents house. It either goes very well, or very bad and you're stuck eating ramen noodles for the next ten years until you lose your house and then move back into your parents house with thousands of more rules than before you left. There's no in between.

"Okay. Sit back. It's going to be a very long time." I smiled, and started talking.

"And now that I have someone that is family all I need is faith, a place to stay, and tacos." I smiled, hoping Alaric would gladly say yes to. "Lily, of course, you're going to stay at my place. What kind of brother would I be? And yes, you can have as many tacos as you'd like."

"What about faith? Can I trust you on this?" He sat back in his seat, and looked past me. "You can trust me. But, I don't want you doing this."

"Why?" I spoke a little harsh, and that seemed to trigger him.

"He kidnapped you!"

"He saved me!" I fired back.

"He put you in danger!"

"He protected me!"

"He killed mom and dad!" The room fell silent, as tears came to my eyes. "No he didn't." He realized what he said, but didn't bother to tone his voice down as well. "Yes he did, Leila!" He would only call me by my actual name if was lying. "He murdered mom, and he shot dad!" Scott killed mom. I saw my mom die with my own eyes. "Don't you see, Leila!? Ethan is a killer, and he deserves to be killed as well!" I stared at him, accusingly. "How would you know?" My voice was deadly. Alaric's eyes widened, and sat down. "Lily-" "How would you know! Because last time I knew, you were in Wisconsin living your happy life, while I was stuck here in this hell hole! How would you know how they were killed!?" He looked down, clearly ashamed. "How!?" I screamed at him, while I stood up, shaking his shoulders. But his silence didn't take me long to realize how he knew. "Oh my god." I gasped. "Leila it's not-"

"Oh my god!" He stayed quiet, my tears streaming down my cheeks. "You were in on the plan. You wanted Ethan to be called Grayson. You knew Scott!"

"He was-"

"He was my kidnapper! Not Ethan or Grayson! They were forced as little kids to kidnap innocent people, and if they didn't, they might as well had been pronounced dead! Ethan and Grayson weren't my kidnappers, Scott was! You were too!" I pointed at him, my bottom lip quivering.

"Well, I think I know everything I need to know." I looked over at the door, to see Debra - Ethan's lawyer - with two police officers. "Miss James, I don't think I could have ever gotten this much out of you. But, thanks to a little call from the principal, telling me that you might be late, I figured I could come to you, instead of you coming to me. Aren't I a genius?" She smiled brightly. She snapped her fingers to the police officers, and with that, they grabbed Alaric and put him in hand cuffs. "Alaric James, you are under arrest for being apart of Leila James' kidnapping, please stand up and put your hands behind your back." Alaric looked at me, asking if I was serious. I stared at him, completely emotionless. He deserves this. And to think, I was happy to see him, thinking that he was in Wisconsin, but really, he was here, planning my cruel life.

What a dick.
