Female 1:

Why do I have to do this again?

Male 1:

For the case.

Female 1:

I know that but why do I have to pretend to be your date?

Male 1:

Well, if you don't want to pretend...

Female 1:

You know what I mean.

Male 1:

It's difficult getting into parties like these when you're not well known.

Female 1:

You could've just put me on the list.

Male 1:

And miss the opportunity to have you one my arm? Nah, I don't think so.

Female 1:

This doesn't even look like a party. More like a gala.

Male 1:

How did you know that?

Female 1:

I'm a detective, remember? And I feel like I'm showing too much in this dress.

Male 1:

You're not showing anything. You look perfect. And you still will look perfect no matter what you wear.

Female 1:

Thanks...

Male 1:

Stay by my side and you'll be fine-

Male 2:

Trevor Moulett! It has been a while since we have last seen each other.

Male 1:

Just the man I was looking for! How are you doing, Mr. Collins?

Male 2:

How many times do I have to tell you to call me Mark? I'm not as old as you think I am.

Male 1:

My apologies, Mark. There's someone I want you to meet. This is-

Male 2:

Natalie. Wow. How long has it been?

Female 1:

Months, years, I guess. I lost track of time with work.

Male 2:

I'm really glad to see you again.

Male 1:

How do you two-

Female 1:

I'm actually just here for work. A case that I'm working on. And it involves me. We don't know why, but maybe you could help us. We just need to know what's so special about me.

Male 2:

You've always been special.

Female 1:

I don't agree with that... But I don't see how or why I'm special when innocent women are murdered because of me.

Male 2:

We should talk somewhere more private. Follow me.

Male 1:

Now that we're in some place private... Someone explain to me how you know each other!

Male 2:

... You want to tell him, or should I?

Female 1:

I think it's best if I do.

Male 1:

I'm waiting. I need answers to questions.

Female 1:

Mark Collins. Natalie Collins... See the connection?

Male 1:

So, you're telling me... That the guy I always work with, the company that my company is partnered up with... Who is well known and rich... Is your father?

Female 1:

Seems about right-

Male 2:

Yeah.

Male 1:

How have we never met before? Why haven't you seen each other in so long?

Female 1:

I'll answer your questions another time. Right now,... I need answers of my own... Dad.

Male 2:

I don't know who murdered those women or why they look like you, but it probably has something to do with your past.

Female 1:

I don't remember much of it and I wasn't social.

Male 2:

I know that. But while you were growing up, I got threats about you from the same person. No one could find who or where they were from. That's why I was so protective over you throughout the years. I didn't want to lost you like I lost your mother.

Female 1:

I thought she died in a car crash.

Male 2:

I told you that so you didn't know what was going on. She was brutally murdered.

Female 1:

You could've told me the truth.

Male 2:

I just didn't want you to think it was my fault.

Female 1:

You two loved each other dearly, madly. It would've never been your fault. But do you know who could've done all of this? Any enemies? Even old friends you're not in contact with anymore?

Male 2:

No, no one.

Female 1:

What about mom?

Male 2:

Everyone loved your mom. I don't know who wanted to do that to her.

Male 1:

Did the threats come on a paper or through email?

Male 2:

Yeah, all the threats I've gotten are given to me in an envelope with a stamp, but no return address.

Male 1:

Did you keep any of them?

Male 2:

I kept all of them. There's like seven boxes filled with them.

Female 1:

Great, can you or someone drop them off at LAPD?

Male 2:

Of course, I'll give them to you myself.

Male 1:

And be tight on security for yourself.

Male 2:

I have been ever since Ana died.

Female 1:

Thank you, dad, for your help.

Male 1:

Yeah, and I'll make sure she has many bodyguards.

Male 2:

Wait, there's more... I still get them.
