Ann's POV
I told her everything that has happened with us all this while. Her eyes widen in shock as she listened to me.
"Well, ...it's a lot more dangerous and scary than I thought!" She replied hesitantly chuckling a bit trying to ease the tension in the situation. I liked this positive attitude of hers.
"So where to begin?" She asked looking at me with determination in her eyes.
"I got an address from Rita's necklace. Although I am pretty sure the pendant is not hers. I believe it belongs to Rebecca Snow. I saw a similar pendant on her in the old family photo from Nidhi's diary. but I had a dream once when I was in the hospital. I saw this same pendant around the house maid's neck, Miss. Woods." I said showing her the address.
"Okay! So are we going to the Ouguri hills tomorrow?" She asked looking at the small piece of paper carefully, in her hands.
"No!" I replied looking out at the deep woods.
"Why? Then where will we look first?" She asked, her gaze fixed on me with confusion. Her eyes following all my moves carefully.
"To the Snow Mansion!" I replied turning around to meet her excited yet scared eyes.
"Okay!" She replied nodding at me. I nod back.
I remembered the last time I and Sid went there and found Nidhi's dead body Sid saw something in the woods through the window Nidhi was facing. I have to find out what he saw. Maybe it will lead me to him and the others. Oh! I miss you so much, Sid. I miss you, my Sis... Sam... Saikat. I really miss you all so much. But I promise nothing will happen to you. I will come and find you and save you. I mentally promised myself when I felt a nudge in my arms.
"What were you thinking?" Ridhima asked me her eyes full of confusion.
"Nothing! Nothing at all!" I replied smiling, she smiled back.
"Now I wanna show you something!" She said handing me a pocket diary. I looked at her with surprise and opened the diary to find several newspaper articles and pictures.
"I have been collecting information about this forest and its spooky affairs ever since I was a child. These are all the deaths that have ever taken place there. Most dead bodies were never found. But few were found in very disoriented forms. Like someone has broken every bone of the body." She spoke making my eyes widen in shock.
"Got any leads or anything? Who can be behind this?" I asked.
"Nope! No idea! That's why people believe it's some kind of curse." She replied shaking her head negatively.
I went through the diary. There were so many articles old and new. The latest was the article about Sis and Saikat's car and their mysterious disappearance. Before them was Rita's suicide incident and Sam and Sid's disappearance. Rumors about the forest were again stirring up in the town.
I closed the diary and gave it back to her. She took a photo of the small piece of paper which Pihu had found from Rita's necklace with her Polaroid camera and stick it in her diary.
