Chapter 4

6 months later

"Do you, Byun BaekHyun, take this women as your lawfully wedded wife," asked the priest.

"i do," replied BaekHyun

"Do you Kim EunJin take this man as your lawfully wedded husband?" asked the priest.

"I do," replied EunJin

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. you may kiss the bride," announce the priest.

BaekHyun lifted up the veil from EunJin. He sighed. He doesn't want to do this. However, he lost the battle. He lost the battle to his parents. He lost the battle to your parents. However, the most important thing is that he lost you. He looked at EunJin in the eyes. He sighed. He tilted her head so it looks as if they kissed. However, he only kissed her cheeks. He couldn't kiss anyone besides you. That's what he swore to. After the ceremony he looked around, hoping to see you. However, you were not present.

BaekHyun and EunJin then went to take photos with family and friends. He was congratulated by many of his friends and family. All he could do is fake a smile. His parents and your parents then walked up to them.

"congratulations you two!" exclaimes your mum

"thank you," replied EunJin

"our dreams to be in laws finally came true," replied BaekHyun's mum while squeezing your mum's hand

"i know right! we have dream of this since we were in our mid 20s," replies your mum.

"if only (y/n) could be here," sighed EunJin.

BaekHyun know this was an act. He knows how much EunJin hates you.

"don't be ridiculous! that woman never deserves to be in our family!" exclaimed your dad, "come on! we have to go and celebrate!"

Your dad and BaekHyun's dad lead the way. BaekHyun heard a notification message. He stopped.

"EunJin-ar. I'm just going to go to the toilets quickly," said BaekHyun

EunJin nodded. BaekHyun walked to the opposite direction. He checked his phone. It was a message from you. This was the first message he sent you after you sent him a letter why you decided to leave hin. BaekHyun read the message.

You: congratulations oppa! you're finally married. live happily with unnie. I'm happy for the two of you.

BaekHyun was shocked. He called your number straight away. After the 10th ring, he thought of giving up and hang up. However, you picked up.

"hello??" you answered.

BaekHyun was shocked. He was almost in tears.

"(y/n)..." whispered BaekHyun

You stopped. This was the first time you heard his voice in 6 months. You didn't want to speak. Hence you stayed silent. BaekHyun knew you were there as he could hear you snift.

"(y/n)..." stuttered BaekHyun, "where are you? i miss you so much. come back to me,"

"oppa," you started, "you can't. you have to move on. you have to love unnie. love unnie the same way as you love me, just like how you promised me."

"i can't," said BaekHyun, "you're the only one in my heart."

"BaekHyun," you said. You were in the urge od choking up, "the wedding was beautiful. i saw it. unnie looked happy. I've never seen her so happy before."

"where are you now?" asked BaekHyun, wondering around to try and look for you.

In honest, you were just hiding behind a tree, to avoid BaekHyun. The more you hear his pleading voice, the more upset you become.
