Episode 25: Sapphire of Cosmic
Angela pulled out the small box that contained the five blue orbs that Syrus gave to her. She emerged from where she was, feeling empowered. She used her power and forced the door opened. Amy stepped out,
“Where did that come from?” Angela asked.
“I guess it belonged to the owner at one point. His family was taken over by the spawns of hell. I think he used this against them,” Amy said. Angela handed Amy the small box and when Amy touched the orbs, she felt a sense of purity. It hadn’t dawned on Angela of how better at water manipulation Syrus was than herself.
“RAH!” screeched Raythe, climbing up the stairs via all fours.
“Can you shoot?” Angela asked.
“Right, can goats yodel?” Amy asked with confidence.
“Uhh—I dunno. What am I saying, I wouldn’t know,” Angela thought out loud. Angela flicked her hand, slamming Raythe to the wall, but she too rotated her body, landing on the wall like a sider. When she picked up her head was when Amy pulled the trigger, firing a purification orb of water directly into Raythe’s skull.
“AHHH!” she screamed, letting go of the wall, only to fall down the stairs into dust. They were suddenly startled by Slike who charged at them from the opposite end of the hallway,
“Aquata!” Angela instinctively cast as a wave of water traveled down the hall, splashing Slike. His chase soon halted as ice began to form.
“...that spell? I, where did that come from?” Angela thought to herself oddly. Puzzled at the power related to ice. Amy cocked the shotgun, aimed, and pulled the trigger. The orb flew into Slike’s skull as his entire body disintegrated into dust. Amy loaded the shotgun again while her and Angela headed down the stairs with two down and three more to go. When they reached the main floor, Xorn grabbed Amy just as Za’al emerged from the shadows.
Angela positioned herself in a fighting stance and as Za’al charged she took her right leg and with force, kicked him in the chest, making him stumble. Amy struggled and pulled out a stone, shoving it into Xorn’s mouth. This made him release her as he began gagging from the foam that was spewing from his mouth. She took the shotgun and shot both him and Za’al.
Out of nowhere, Daaja backhanded Amy, sending her a crossed the floor. Her sights now set on Angela.
“Do you realize what you have done?! Now I am bound to this place again until the next. But I will not dorm here alone. I’ll take you with me in HELL!”
“This is going to hurt me more than you,” Angela complained before saying, “I Invoke The Power of the gods!” Angela grabbed her head as a rush of godly power filled her entire body like an intense high, causing it to strain. She bobbed her head back as her eyes now became pale blue due to absorbing too much divine magic. Angela went into a fright over the heavenly energies running through her like a mega tsunami.
Angela held out both hands, releasing vigorous water jets by which Daaja cast her hands out in front of her when a demonic crimson aura took shape into a shield. When the jets could not penetrate the shield, Angela placed her hands down. Daaja rushed upward both hands followed by the demonic crimson aura seeping down onto the floor when devilish hands of the dead reached out from the floor heading toward Angela. She raised her hand as every furniture and portrait flung directly at Daaja, cashing into her. The loss of concentration removed the hands. The demonic crimson aura formed around Daaja as the objects burst into debris. Daaja charged as both her and Angela’s fist clashed, releasing a shockwave throughout the manor. Each of their blows met each other continuously. Angela pushed on Daaja, jetting back away from her as she circled her hand over her head. This formed a gray cloud over Daaja in which she quickly lifted up her claws, forming a shield when acid rain began pouring overhead. Daaja pushed upward as her the shield curled, engulfing the cloud before vanishing.
Angela appeared in front when her fist made contact with Daaja’s face. She made another connected punch and before she could make a third, Daaja held up both hands, latching onto Angela’s hands. With their hands interlocked, they began powering up in order to knock the other out of this deadlock, as the winner would have a major advantage. It wasn’t until then that Amy came too, only to see Daaja and Angela going at it in full force. Amy sighted blood oozing down from Angela’s nose.
The struggle continued and as Daaja pushed forward, drawing Angela back while Angela thrust forward, moving Daaja back. Angela all of a sudden began to breathing extra hard, realizing that she’s giving it her all and yet something was wrong. Instead of increasing, she felt as if power was depleting. A rush of pain moved throughout her body and rushed to her head; unable to hold onto the divine power source she called upon. The ungodly pain dug into Angela as she was forced to expel the call, with releasing her grip she collapsed to the floor. Angela touched her nose, seeing the blood that was coming from it while physically she felt drained. Each new breath she inhaled felt like daggers, jabbing her lungs.
“SEE YOU IN HELL WITCH!” Daaja shouted as her hand right claw went up.
“…I…rather not,” Angela slowly said and snapped her fingers. A triangular beam of blue fell from the bathroom floor down to the main floor, encasing Daaja in it. Amy knew this was it and rolled on the floor, picked up the shotgun cocked it back and pointed it directly at Daaja’s head. The demon tried to move, but couldn’t as the triangular walls prevented her from doing so. Amy pulled back on the trigger as the purification orb traveled low, piercing Daaja’s chest, weakening her drastically. Amy came over to pull Angela up to her feet.
“I feel it. Now that you’re weakened, you have something that I need. This is for all the lives you have taken,” said Angela, pulling out the clear gem and held it in the palm of her hand openly. It then started to levitate.
“NOOAAHHH!” screamed Daaja when the bond that held her body together collapsed, breaking down and reverting back into its original form of ancient elements. When the gem absorbed them, Angela positioned her left hand in order to grab her right wrist,
“Purify and dispel!” she cast. A flash of light engulfed the room as the manor from the outside shined like a beacon for a moment. When the light subsided, Angela had in her possession The Power of the Cosmos, a sapphire colored gem pulsating with cosmic properties.
“Is it over?” asked Amy, dropping the shotgun.
“Yeah, the manor has been cleansed. We did it,” Angela told her.
“What was going on? Your eyes were different, you’re bleeding, then this thingy?” Amy questioned.
“Where to begin? My friends and I ever since we obtained The Power of the gods we can call upon them to aid us. The problem is that we don’t like to use it—like at all. Calling upon them has a price, as they actually do not like being called upon. And they make us aware of that, proven with my bloody nose,” Angela explained.
“Darlin’, you do this everyday? More power to ya,” Amy exclaimed.
“Heyyy, not everyday. It’s a part of who I now am. Fighting the good fight of good and all that junk,” Angela said.
“Fighting the good fight…” Amy pondered to herself.
“I have to go Amy, are you good to go?” Angela asked her.
“Sorta like a culture shock, but yeah. For once, I think I have a purpose. Thanks to you I will walk away from this experience strong,” Amy said to her confidently. Angela gave her a hug before the gem took her back to her present.
