Nothing was in the smoking rubble around them.
Obviously something was here....What happened to it?
Hunk asked her the same question out loud, and Skipper gave him a shrug as a response.
"Hello?"
A tall alien girl faced them. She had pale pink skin, long elf-like ears and long lavender hair. Shrouded in a cloak, the girl looked at them curiously.
"Hey there!", Hunk greeted in a friendly way.
The girl smiled.
"Hello!", she said, "My name is Leuiana. Are you looking for the angel?""Angel?", Skipper asked skeptically.
"The girl that fell from the sky"- Leuiana fluttered her fingers through the air- "And crashed here."
A girl?
"Where is she now?"
"Oh, she's at my house. My fiancee and I were looking after her."
... Later, the girl, Leuiana, led them to a chrome shack not far from city limits.
"Be careful", she warned as she turned the doorknob, "The angel seems to be quite stressed."
But inside, sitting on a couch, was a shock.
A familiar imperial, angular face stood out amongst everything else.
"Starlin?!", both Hunk and Skipper cried out in exited shock.
The princess hybrid looked at them with worn-out eyes. Dark circles under them emphasized her gaze.
The massive steel wings she had were drooped lazily over the sides of the couch."Skipper?!", Starlin exclaimed, "Hunk?!"
The two slid to their knees to either side of the couch.
"How did you get here?"
"The blasted vermin threw me out of the vlorping air lock!", she replied to Hunk's question scornfully.
"After that, I have no clue from where, but a wormhole opened and I crashed here. Luckily my wings broke my fall.""Where's Lance and Piflin?"
"They're still on the ship"- she ran her hands through her dark hair anxiously-"And only gods-know-where by now."
Hunk supportively squeezed Starlin's shoulder.
"We'll find them", he reassured her. But Starlin didn't seem convinced."We have to find him!", she cried out urgently, "I need to find Lance!"
Skipper held up her hand to silence her cousin.
"First we need to rescue the paladins. All of the others have been arrested."A tall girl came and stood beside Leuiana.
"No", she said sternly, "You need rest. All of you."
"You're Galra!", Hunk pointed out.
The girl flicked her long fuzzy ears that resembled what humans call a "rabbit".
"Yes. My name is Elm. My fiancee Leuiana and I travel across the galaxy together. And I happen to know that by the looks of you all, you need rest."
"I'll get some spare sheets", Leuiana perked up, and ran into another room.
Unsurprisingly, Starlin was already passed out, her face buried in the crook of her wing.
I should sit down somewhere...
"You should get some rest too", Hunk broke her thoughts.
Skipper shook her head. She didn't need sleep. She needed to stay awake.
Hunk looked her in the eye.
"When was the last time you actually slept, Skip?"Honestly......
"It's been awhile", she admitted shamefully, "But I don't need it."
"C'mon. We can think of a plan afterwards. Just get some rest. You need to ease your mind."
Skipper couldn't figure out what it was, but something in his warm brown eyes convinced her.
"Fine", she quietly agreed, "I'll go sleep."
