Skipper could hear the destruction Piflin was making outside after she and Hunk snuck past the soldiers.
Find the others.
That's where the battle will be.
Skipper treated it like one of her old missions. Get in. Get out.
Objective complete. No distractions allowed.
The chrome-brick walls stretched high above them, only stopping at the unusually tall ceiling. Skipper edged along the walls with Hunk behind her.
"So is it true?"
The hybrid paused and looked back at Hunk.
"About what?", she asked, a little more than confused."About how you would never have a relationship."
Skipper turned away and continued down the hall.
"Yes.""But why?"
She shot him a questioning glare.
He looked down apologetically, his face reddening.
"Sorry", he mumbled, "I'm just curious."Because I'm a mentally disturbed monster with possibly no sense of humanity.
"Nobody would love me anyways", she grumbled, "It's better to just avoid them altogether."
"What if someone did? Love you, I mean?"
Why is he asking so many questions?
Laughing sarcastically, Skipper said, "Find me someone like that, and I'll marry them for Zarkon's sake!"
A derpy smile spread across Hunk's face that Skipper couldn't understand.
Deciding to ignore the smile, she urged forward.
"We're going to need different outfits if we are going to blend in, she said. Skipper pointed to Hunk's uniform and her own ruffian's clothing.
Hunk nodded, agreeing.
Something about his tanned face seemed paler. Nervousness, perhaps?
We need to find a wardrobe-
"What?"
Skipper faced Hunk. He had said something.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"How do I tell you?"
"What?"
Hunk suddenly found himself in Skipper's intense stare.
It's so easy to get lost in them...
He quickly snapped out of his thoughts and gave her a sheepish smile.
"Nothing", he lied, "I was just clearing my throat."
