Chapter 16

Talena's P.O.V.

    Mating season is finally over. It only lasted a few weeks. We are all doing our own thing.

    Mikey and Amoly take care of the chores around here. Along with Larota. She's the queen of chores.

    Leo and Venus mostly train or meditate out in the fresh air. They've been meditating while holding hands. I think that's sweet. If they aren't doing either one of those. They are on the porch talking or hanging out with us.

    Raph helps Larota sometimes. But mostly, he's out roaming the woods for something. Me being me I know better. He's practicing on how to propose to Lara. He may be tough and heartless on the outside, but on the inside he's a big teddy bear.

    Donnie is always in the barn working on something. I help out every now and then. I mostly watch Leo and V train or meditate. I don't ever get bored. I find everything interesting. Even small things like Leo and V meditating.

    I'm on my way to the barn. I take in all the fresh air and sunshine. Loving every second. When I reach the barn I hear someone mumbling. I crack the door just a little to hear what's being said.

    "I don't know Don. You think she would like it? I don't know what to do. I... do you think I can do it?"

    Raph was being really nervous about something.

    "Oh course she will like it. Besides, I haven't seen this side of you since we were kids. Knowing you, you could pull it off better than I will."

    I gasp. I know what their talking about now. Raph is finally going to ask the question! How is he going to do that though. I listen with more interest when I realize what Donnie had said.

    "Hey, Don. How are you going to propose to your one and only?"

    I lean in. Hoping he would say it.

    "That my friend is what your going find out."

    I sigh. He probably knew someone was listening or was being cautious.

    "Well, tell me how that works out genius."

    "Yeah, you'll know how it turns out the way these girls talk."

    "You got hat right. But for an odd reason, it's actually kinda interesting."

    I then take a deep breath and walk in on their little conversation. I pretend I hadn't realized they were talking.

    "Oh, did I interrupt something? I can always come back if I did?"

    "No! No, it's fine love. I want to show you something."

    Raph stands there. He's just watching whatever is about to happen. Donnie pulls out a remote and hands it to me.

    "Press the yellow button."

    I do as he says and a robot comes out of the big cabinet he has in the barn. I jump at the sudden entrance.

    "You made this?" (Picture metal head from the episodes.)

    "Yep. Come here."

    We step closer to the little robot. I kneel down and look it in the eyes. Or cameras. Don smiles as he taps the robot on the head. The mouth opens holding a little purple box.

    "A little present for you."

    I grab the little box not sure what it should be.

    "Thanks Donnie. You didn't have to."

    I look up at him and he points at something that's in the boys mouth.

   I look to see what it is. When I see it I am taken back. I lost all words. I was overjoyed. The paper said....

    "Will you marry me Talena?"

    I quickly wrapped my arms around Donnie's neck. I laughed. I shed tears. Not because I was sad. Because I was so happy.

    "Yes. Yes. Yes!"

    I kissed him cheek and hugged him once again. He pulled away from the hug. He grabbed the box from my hand. When he opened it I almost stopped breathing.

    It was a ring win a purple diamond and a silver band. When he put it on my finger it was a perfect fit.

    "I love you so much."

    I kissed him. He kissed back. We held each other in a hug like embrace. When we pulled apart we were trying to catch our breath.

    "I love you more than the entire universe. My one and only."
