Chapter 23

Leonardo's P.O.V.

After everyone was finished unpacking we gathered in the living room.

"Alright, when the sun goes down we are picking up master Splinter."

"I can't wait to see him. Seriously dudes! Can't. Wait!"

Mikey jumps over the couch sitting next to Amoly. I chuckle as Raph leans forward to see Mikey.

"Just remember nuckle head. When he gets home we have to tell him we didn't bail on our promise."

Mikey smiles even wider. How can he do that?

"Oh, yeah. Even better."

"Just remember that we need to leave at sunset. Understood?"

Everyone nods. I look at the clock and see that it's only nine thirty in the morning.

I go to head to the dojo to meditate but Talena suddenly got up and rushed out of the room. Venus went after her.

"Is she okay Donnie?"

Donnie was surprised by Talena's sudden action.

"I don't know."

We all look the direction she left. I we curious about what just happened so I go to find where Venus and Talena left to. When u walk by the bathroom I hear both of the girls.

"You alright?"

I say as I pick before walking in. Talena was picking her gifts out as Venus rubbed her back.

"She hasn't been feeling good since this morning."

"Do you know why?"

When Talena finally is able to catch her breath she answers my question.

"I have a theory."

"Which is?"

Venus asks as she hands Talena for her to wipe her mouth.

"Promise you two woke tell Donnie or anyone else?"

"Of course Talley."

I nod as Venus answers her. She takes a deep breath. I could tell she was shaking really bad.

"I might be pregnant."

We stand there shocked. Talena looks at us scared of our response.

"That's amazing Tal! If you are then when will you tell Donnie?"

"Whenever I know for sure. That's why I need you to keep this secret."

"Trust me Talena. I'm a man that keeps my word."

She smiles at me. I look at Venus who seems to be sad. She has a smile on her face, but her eyes hold a different emotion.

Once we were finished taking care of the situation I asked Venus to meet me in our room. I wanted to know why she held that look in her eyes. The woman I know wouldn't do that. At least, I think so.

I'm pacing the room. Trying to find a way to ask her without upsetting her. She walks in with a smile. I must of made her worried cause the smile vanished when she noticed what I was doing.

"Leo?"

"Why did you look upset?"

She sat on the bed. She laughed. Giving me that questioning look.

"I was never upset. When did you think I was upset?"

I stopped. My shell to her. I felt like I was about to start an argument. I didn't want that.

"When Talena told us her secret. You held a look in your eyes that made you look upset about something. Why?"

She sighed.

"So you did notice. I was hoping you wouldn't."

I turn around and look at her. Her eyes began to tear up. I was by her side instantly. Wiping away the tears with my hands.

"I know I should be strong. I know I should show my sisters that I'm the leader they need to be but..."

"Venus, why?"

"Let me tell you a story Leo."

She stood and took ages steps before stopping. Her shell was to me now. I sat there. Waiting hear her story that she has not told yet. The story she was about to tell would make sense to why she was so upset.
