Chapter 20

Raphael's P.O.V.

When I got up in the morning I was happy. For the first time I didn't want to do anything that involved anyone getting hurt or start an argument.

Last night Larota announced our engagement. It was amazing. Leo was surprised I even proposed. We all were going to get married. We are all excited. The girls were talking about the colors, the arrangements and the music while us guys talked about how our lives have changed. We went from broken to closer than ever. From yelling to laughing. From arguments to normal conversations.

I got up to head downstairs. Ready to face the day. Ready to make things better.

"Hey, Raph! Ready to do a little something?"

Mikey comes into the room with that look in his eyes. The look that says 'I'm about to do something'.

"What do you want Mikey?"

I go to grab the cereal box, but Mikey pushes me towards the back door.

"Mikey! What are you doing?"

He shoves me out the door. I almost fall on my face. I turn around glaring at my little brother.

"You have two seconds to run."

He begins to run and I chase him. For five minutes he runs around with me on his tail. He runs into the barn. When I enter something grabs my arm. It was Leo.

"Calm down Raph. He was just trying to get you in here."

I look at Mikey. He sticks his tongue out making me growl at him.

"What do you want now that you ruined my day?"

"Well, we were going to plan something for the girls."

Donnie comes out of nowhere. I then remember our talk when the girls were having theirs at the lair. After we all proposed to our girl we would show them that we truly mean what we said to them.

I smirk and look at Leo.

"So what's the plan?"

I was sitting on the couch waiting for Larota to come downstairs. Leo and Donnie are on the porch. Mikey is in the kitchen. We are all waiting for our girls.

As I was about to stand up to walk around a little bit I hear giggles and footsteps. Soon I saw all the girls.

"Hey, Raph. Where's Leo?"

I point towards the door.

"Donnie's with him, too."

Both V and Talena go outside. Amoly was about to ask where Mikey was when I said something first.

"He's in the kitchen."

"Thanks Raph. Your the best."

"Whatever."

She giggles and skips to the kitchen. I watch her as she does so.

"How in the world go those two do that? How can they act like that constantly?"

"Beats me. I'm guessing it's because someone has to be."

I look at her. She was smiling. She had a twinkle in her eye that I've never seen before. I smirk at the way she looked. It was majestic.

"Why are you always so gorgeous?"

She wraps her arms around my neck and plays with my bandana tails. I put my hands on her hips.

"Why are you always so handsome?"

Our noses touch. We both smile like two dorks. We close our eyes. We take deep breaths. We enjoy the silence before we hear Amoly scream slash laugh. Then we hear a door slam. We are the only ones in the house now. Our noses touch once more. I wanted the moment to last forever but I had a plan to stick to.
