Chapter Five: Walking, Waiting

Jeremy's POV
I walk around thw forest at night with Dezi. "Tina promised to help you talk, right?"
She nods and looks up.
"I can help. Lets say...'promise'."
"Pr...u..."
"Ah...pr-ah-mh-iss."
"Pr...ah...mise..." She sighs. "Promise." She lifts a brow.
"You did it!" I hug her and spin her around.
She squeals.
I stop and put her down and we sit on the ground as we look up at the moon.
*I miss her.* She gives me her phone.
"Tina? She's a bit of a pain." I chuckle.
*In a good way.*
"In a good way." I look down. "Hey, Dez?"
She looks up and tilts her head.
"I don't think I'm gay...anymore..."
*Who made that change?*
"Tina did...I think I like her..."
*Aww! Cute! I think you do too. She obviously likes you.*
I smile. "Thanks for the support." I hug her.
She gets up and runs off.
"Oh no, you don't! Get back here!" I chase after her and we play around.
She falls and I help her up.
"You think I could stay over again, tonight?"
*Of course, Jer. Its understandable.* She leads us to her house and she sets me up in her spare room. *Stay as long as you need.* She smiles and goes to her room.
I lay down and fall asleep peacefully in a long time. 'I like her...' I dream about the next time I see her...and how I'm going to tell her my feelings. 'Maybe I should wait until she's better...so it won't be a another burden...' I go into a deep sleep, done thinking for the night.
