Dezi's POV
I stay at home the next day. My mom is still away, but I wasn't feeling well, so she's coming home.
Its been two hours and she finally walks through the door.
     I smile and wave.
     "How are you?"
     I sign. *Sick.*
"I'm sorry." She sits beside me. "I'm sorry I wasn't around for the attack...to make sure you were okay...but they said it was clear, so my boss wouldn't let me go."
*I understand. But I still hate him for that.*
"I got you something." She hands me a small box and I open it to see a pretty, silver and original necklace.
I look at her. *Thank you. Its beautiful.*
"I thought you might like it. You know I was in Ireland for a couple days and I got that for you."
I put it on and smile. *I love it.* I hug her and she hugs back.
"Now lets make you feel better." She hands me my phone and goes to the kitchen. "I'll make my famous ravioli."
I play on my phone and glance at her as she makes the little packets of noodle and fill them with cheese.
She smiles when she catches me. "I remember how you would beg for this and keep asking if it was done. You complained about it being a slow process and I thought it was adorable."
*Don't remind me.* I giggle and she chuckles when she pauses to see my reaction.
"Even though you've changed, you're still my daughter. I don't care about your style. You're still Destiny to me."
*I remember my birth name. Too long.*
"But I like Dezi too. Suits you." She comes in and kisses my forehead. "Quinn is finally coming home. The sister you met once."
*Yay!* I grin. *Can't wait.* I giggle and she goes back to the kitchen.
"One day I'll teach you to make this." She says as she gives me a plate of her famous ravioli.
