Chapter Seventeen: Truth

Tina's POV
     After about another week away from Jeremy, I go to Dezi's house and knock.
     Natalye answers and sighs. "Jason and now you? She's-"
     "I know...but I just wanted to see her since I haven't since she got home...you know my relationship with her. She needs me...and we need to catch up..."
     She sighs again and lets me in. "Dez! Tina is here! Says you need to catch up!"
     I hear footsteps run down and she comes flying at me, hugging me. "Dezi, hi..." I hug her tightly, sighing. "It's been too long. I notice that her hair is up in a towel. "Just shower?"
     She shrugs and lets go. She leads me to her rooms and lets her hair down.
     I gasp as I see the black fading back to black. "Wow...you're going back to blonde?"
     She gets her phone. *Yeah for a bit to let my hair rest and grow out a little. Then I'm dying it again. I have zero ideas what color.*
     I smile. "Maybe brown...or blue...maybe fading into an orange red..."
     She grins at the last one. *I also am changing my entire hair layout. I know its a big thing...but I want a fresh-ish start. I want my mom to see me in different ways and shes so supportive!*
     "I'm happy you're doing good...I'm gonna have to get so used to you being blonde...I want to die my hair...but I don't know..."
     She squeals and smiles. *Yes! You should to brown with your blonde ends! Maybe bleach them more! Or maybe just go full brunette!*
     I nod. "Alright. Now lets get this hair fading!" I go to the bathroom with her and get her roots and ends to get back to they're natural color.

     "Okay...thats enough for now. Tonight we can try and thin more color from your bangs."
     She nods and puts her hair in a towl.
     I smile and lay on the bed with her. "So...Jeremy and I are probably going to break up...I havent told him why I won't him see me..."
     She holds my hand, listening carefully and nodding along with me.
     "It's because I was starting to spiral because I was so god damn worried about you and I didn't want him to witness that...or you for that matter...so I avoided everyone and barely talked to my brother...I'm better now...I really am."
     She nods. *You really are...* She smiles at me and hugs me. *And I missed you.*
     "I miss you too." I sigh. "Can I stay the night? I know its short noticed, but I really could use the night away."
     *Of course! I would love for you to stay over!* She gets up and runs off. She comes back nodding and I help her get bed spreads out for the couch downstairs.
     I pull out the couch into a bed and fix it up with Dez. I make popcorn as she picks out a movie and we lay down.
     We cuddle as we watch two movies before I'm out like a light.
Dezi's POV
     I smile at Tina and lay her head on the pillows and she curls up as I cover her up. I turn off the tv and lay down with her, falling asleep.
