There's always a little truth behind every 'just kidding,' a little knowledge behind every 'I don't know,' a little emotion behind every 'I don't care,' and a little pain behind every 'it's okay.' -unknown

Truthfully, it feels like weight has been lifted off of my shoulders after making amends with Archie. Everything is back to the way it is and despite how hard it is to put my feelings aside, my happiness is much more genuine then it use to be.

"Thank you so much for inviting us, Veronica. I had a good time and the food was spot on," I smile and adjusted the tinfoil on the plate of leftovers. Veronica let me keep most of the food along with Archie. She also offered Jug, but he denied. He's been pretty off for most of the day and he's never really been a distant person. At least around us he definitely isn't.

"Today's been fun," I said quietly as I walked down the concrete pavement, trying to start conversation with Jughead who's still awfully silent.

He stopped in his tracks and faced me. "Why didn't you tell me you had a thing for Archie? Or that you've been acting so forlorn because of him?"

"Juggie, why are you so angry about it? I didn't think the situation mattered enough to include you. I just didn't want any further problems, okay?" I nervously fiddled around with my necklace.

"It does matter enough because you – never mind, let's just pretend this never even happened."

He quickly speeded past me in attempts to avoid any more comments from me.

"Because what? You can't just walk away from me like that," I catch up with him.

"Okay, you're right. It isn't as big of a deal as I make it out to be, but I was worried about Arch and I even said so at lunch. You were both well aware of everything and didn't bother enough to tell me anything."

"Look Jug—"

"I'm not asking for much. Just honesty."

"O-Okay," I responded softly and began to walk at a regular pace making Jughead ahead of me.

Just as one problem was finally at its ending, a new one just has to form.

As I arrived home, I immediately rushed my way over to my bedroom and grabbed my phone, dialing Kevin's number and adding Ronnie to the call. I spoke about the incident since Veronica was indeed curious herself as to what was up with Jughead and to cater Kevin's thirst for drama.

"I knew it. He did begin to act weird as soon as the apology took place," Veronica pondered.

"I've had my fair share of boys and trust me, if you seem to be leading them on and get all friendly with a different boy, they'll get real jealous. Kinda turns me on though. Maybe that's the situation," Kevin suggested.

"In all seriousness, Jughead and I are nothing but friends. I've never lead him on, Kev. And you know i'd never do that to any guy. At least not intentionally," I explained in my defense.

"I don't think that's the issue, Betty..." Veronica began to expand upon the idea that maybe, "Jughead is catching feelings for you?" She said in a pitchy voice.
