Chapter Three
“Um, hello? Are you two okay?” I heard someone asked us and I blinked my eyes three times until I finally answered Crawford’s question. “Um yeah I’m fine and no offense but I’m not really a fan. I’m not the kind of girl who fangirls too much.”
When I finished my sentence I just looked at Crawford and he also blinked like three time just like what I did and smiled, the most perfect smile I ever saw oh and the second perfect smile that I saw is his brother’s. There has been an awkward silence for like 5 seconds until Mrs. Collins spoke up, “Oh wait, what’s your name young lady?”
Before I could answer her question Crawford interrupted and he answered the question. “Stella.” He said facing his mom. “Your name is Stella Parker, right?” and he faced me.
I giant smile appeared in my face because he still remember what my name is. “Yes.” I nodded at him. “My name is Stella Parker.” I said facing his mom. Crawford giggled and that made my heart drop, guy with cute giggles is a major turn on for me.
“Wait. Do you guys know each other?” Kirsten asked us.
“I only know her name because we bumped into each other a while ago and she didn’t get mine cause I think she was rushing. Were you?” Crawford replied.
“Yeah. Oh and sorry about that.” I answered.
“Nah don’t be. I’m fine.” He replied.
So again there has been an awkward silence until Mr. Collins broke it and spoke to me “Okay Stella, we’re sorry if we disturbed you so since we’re also here to relax, come and join us just to laugh at each other’s jokes and tell some weird stories and stuff.”
“No thank you, I don’t want to ruin your family bonding.” I replied. “No, we insist. Come on, join us. Please?” Mrs. Collins begged. “Yeah. It’s fun making new girlfriends in every state. So please? Join us?” Kirsten begged too. “Yeah. I love making new friends!" Karisma agreed. “They’re right. Don’t be shy.” Christian said as well. I looked at Crawford and he didn’t say anything but just smiled at me and I feel like I’m gonna faint because he really is gorgeous.
“Okay fine.” I told them. So they all sat on the wooden ground except for Crawford, his just standing there and smiled at me so I prayed to God to make him stop smiling cause it makes my heart skip a beat, I seriously don’t wanna die young.
We all sat down and I sat down beside Karisma. I don’t wanna seat beside Crawford because I really don’t want to fall for him because I know he doesn’t like me back. So the six of them started sharing their jokes and stories.Christian also shared something weird, it’s about Crawford throwing peanut butter everywhere in the kitchen and Crawford keeps on saying “Because it was fun doing it.”
We laughed together, talked to each other and it was kinda fun. At first I was scared because they were just strangers, but know that I know how they act or feel? I feel like a knew them for how many years now. They’re so good to me, I also feel like they’re my family, I feel so happy when they’re around, just like what I feel when I’m also with my real family. There has been an silence again because we’re all out of stories until Mrs. Collins asked me a question, “So Stella, tell me, how old are you?”
“I'm just 15 I'm turning 16 this year.” I answered. “15? You look like 12. Anyways so you’re a year younger than Crawford. He's 16 and he'll turn 17 this year too.” Mr. Collins replied. I laughed because he thought I was 12? Do I really look that young? “How about your life here in Florida?” Mrs. Collins asked me again. “Here? I just moved here with my family like 7 months ago from Detroit because my mom has a new job here.” I replied. “Detroit? Mm. Interesting.” is all the response I got.
