Chapter Six
Two days had past yet I still didn’t see Crawford. He nor his family didn’t go to the lake because Crawford said that they’re going to a party. I was kinda upset when he texted me and told me that he and his family couldn’t come because of the party but it’s fine, who am I to stop him to go to the party and just hang out with me?
It was just 3 in the afternoon so I don’t want to go to the lake yet cause it’s too early. I just planned to go out and have a little chit-chat with Megan, so I sent her a message telling her to meet me at the park in an hour.
I ran upstairs, went to my room, get my towel and took a shower. After taking a bath, I looked for something to wear in my closet after wearing my clothes, I fixed my hair tied it up in a messy bun and took a last glance in my mirror. I can see myself wearing a shirt that has words saying “Live life” and I’m also wearing a skinny black jeans and a pair of white vans. I didn’t put some make up on because I don’t wear make ups.
I’ve got 15 minutes left and I’m ready to go. Since the park is just a few blocks away and I have enough time, I just decided to walk while listening to some music. I plugged in my earphones to my phone and started walking.
While I was walking I suddenly stopped because I was standing at the same spot where Crawford and I first met. A wide smile on my lips appeared because of that. I just stood there like a little weirdo smiling. I just starred at the ground as my memories from that time started flashing back. I remember when he helped me out by picking up the things that fell. I remember when our eyes met. I remember when he said sorry. I remember when he asked my name. And I remember what he said to me two nights ago.
Remembering that thing makes me misses him so much. I wish he can go to the lake tonight. I wish.
I suddenly came back to reality when my eyes already hurt because of starring. I continued walking and went to the park.
“Stellaaaa!” I heard Megan’s voice calling for me. I waved my hands and went towards her direction.
“Hey! So, how’s my bestfriend?” I asked her happily. “I’m not fine. The Collins still didn’t follow me on Twitter. OhMyGoodness. I forgot to tell Crawford about that. “Are you sure you DM-ed them?” Megan asked me raising her eye brow.
“I’m so sorry. I promise to DM them when I get home. I promise.” I apologized and promised to her. “Okay. I’m giving you one more chance, if you’ll break your promise, you know what will happen.” She told me like she was my mother. “Okay. Thanks.” I replied.
“Okay. So why’d you tell me to come here anyways?” she asked me. “I just got a little bored so I sent you a message so we can hang out a bit.” I said. “Good thing you texted me. I also got bored. So where to?” she replied. “Wanna grab some drink?” I asked her and she nodded.
We went to Starbucks grab a frappe and walk for a few miles. We told stories and she never stops blabbering about Chris. And the more she talks about Chris, the more I miss hanging out with the Collins family. I wish all of them will go to the lake again.
It’s already getting late when Megan’s mom called, she told Megan to come home immediately because she’s having trouble with the computer. Megan’s mother is trying to learn how to use Facebook and Twitter so that she can interact with some of her friends. And now I think she’s calling Megan so Megan can help her out.
“I’m sorry if I can’t hang out with you more today, but I really have fun. Thanks for your weird stories. LOL!” she told me.
“Thanks for the facts about the Collins.” I told her laughing. She laughed and said “Did I talk about them too much?” she asked and I nodded. “Well I don’t care. Bye Stella! Take care. I love you!” she said in high pitched tone. “Bye Megan! Love you too!” I replied.
