Chapter 4

Collins' POV:
We walked for so long that Emerald had fallen asleep while I was carrying her,
"Where are we going?" I asked I was getting tired and Emerald was starting to get heavy.
"We're going to Echo's place." Venus told me,
We walked for another 13 minutes or so
We finally got there it was a old store?
It looked as if it was abandoned years ago
"There's stuff in here for days." Echo exclaimed, "stuff we can survive on like clothing and food, That's why I choose this place."
"Is there places to sleep?" Allison asked while fixing her messy bun.
"Yes, there is!" Echo smiled, "they sold mattresses here so there are more stuff than you could even imagine!"
Echo crawled threw a broken window and got the lights and doors working
I guess since she lived here she would know how to do that kind of stuff...
She pried the doors open the sensor didn't seem to work well I guess I didn't want just anyone to walk into my home, if I had one.
We walk in then Echo grabs about 5 mattresses one for me, one for Emerald, one for herself, one for Jacqueline and Allison, and one for Venus.
"2 of us will have to share but most likely Venus and I will sleep on our own." Echo said softly.
Emerald started to wake up,
"Hey Emmy." Venus greeted a tired Emerald,
"Don't call me that.." Emerald said softly
I put Emerald down as she walked over to one of the shelfs.
"Who lives here?" Emerald scoffed,
"I do!" Echo exclaimed,
Venus walked away to look at things
As she came back she had snacks like chips sodas and other things.
"Well we are still human and need to eat." Venus put the stuff down as Echo got blankets and pillows.
"What kind of store sells food and home supplies?" Jacqueline asked Echo
"Well Jacqueline, some of the food here I got from another store, but you would be surprised of how many stores actually sell both food and supplies." Echo answered.
We ate some snacks and after Emerald laid down next to me while I was still sitting up.
Then everyone started to fall asleep
I laid down and held Emerald in my arms
She was beautiful.
I looked at her gas mask which she didn't have on. And saw the burns on her cheek.
She said when she was 12 she had almost lost her entire cheek.. it broke my heart to see her self conscious.
She had dark blue long hair with pale blue eyes.
I then fell asleep...
I woke up to Venus yelling our names.
"What's wrong?!" I yelled waking up the others.
"Venus?!?" Echo yelled
"Guys?! What's that?!?" Venus yelled
There was a huge flame in the back of the store.
"Some one must have set this place on fire not to long ago." I grabbed Emerald hand, "we have to go."
Those words set her off. I don't know why.
"Everyone!" Emerald tried to get their attention, "go outside now!"
Emerald speaking up? That's never a good sign.
Everyone listen to her. So we went outside as she followed. Right when she got out the building bursted into flames.
Echo was frustrated, she wanted to know who set the building on fire.
We ran to the back of the flaming building, and saw a man with a lighter. He was the one who must have set the store on fire.
We couldn't take him on he had a A.k 47,
We ran away, like little kids. Emerald was furious,
"I could have fucking took him on!" She yelled.
"No, no you couldn't!" I held her arm while I yelled.
"Guys don't fight, we need to get to safety." Allison said
"Yeah ally is right guys" Venus agreed
"Where, we have no place to go..." I asked
"My house is under ground so sometimes it's hard to get to without someone seeing you." Venus explained.
"My house no one is aloud in it." Emerald crossed her arms.
"Let's just start walking to find somewhere." Jacqueline added.
"Yeah.. let's go.." I told them.
