I was confused. What was Zeus doing now? Was this some new, twisted, kind of torture? It was smart, but I wasn't gonna let it work.
Poseidon put sat across from me, and put his hands on my thighs, as he looked into my eyes, he smiled. He seemed calm, and kind. So much like my friend. So much like the god, that went through horrifying nightmares for me, the same god, that I'd had so many conversations with, the one I used to fear, the one I saw the good in.
The one I kissed.
But it wasn't, it couldn't be.
"You aren't real. You aren't him." I cried, shaking my head.
I wanted so bad, for it to be him. Even if it were, I wouldn't know. I was in too much shock. Too much had happened. There was no way he'd convince me, that he was real, or that he was going to help me.
"Damara, please. You have to listen to me, it's the only way you can get out of here. You have to fight it. Don't let my brother's games consume you. Please, you can get out of this..." Poseidon sobbed. I shook my head.
"Go..away.." I choked out.
Every few minutes, I was in here, I felt like I was being stabbed in the stomach. That's what was happening to me right now. Soon after, I'd start to spit up blood.
I started to cough and, blood went all over the floor. Poseidon looked extremely worried, he placed a hand on my shoulder, and pressed his forehead to mine. Trying to hold back tears.
"Please..please...get out of this." He cried.
He sounded so sincere, I wanted to believe it was him. I almost thought it was.
But then he was gone, and I was in pain again. I was alone. And I always would be.
Poseidon's concentration broke, and he woke up. His family staring at him.
"Well, what happened?" Hades asked, confused. Poseidon sighed.
"She wouldn't come with me. Sh-she doesn't trust me anymore. I don't know what Zeus did to her. But I'm not getting her out."
Athena cleared her throat.
"Hades, grab Poseidon's hands, I'm gonna merge you. Hades, you'll have to get her out." She explained.
Poseidon frowned, wanting to be the one that got me out of there, but instead, he felt like he'd lost me, he hesitantly took his brother's hands. And, they closed their eyes, as Athena did her job. There they were again, right in front of me.
"Damara!" Hades exclaimed as he knelt in front of me, my eyes started to water, tears of happiness when I saw him, I cupped his face, and he grabbed my hand. I smiled.
"Hades.."
