Chapter 3

I just stood there, I didn't know what to say. I had never been asked to do anything with anybody before. "How would I be in your band if we don't even live in the same area?" I asked. "How do you know we aren't close?" he asked suspichasley. "Because you have an accent smarty," I replied in a joking tone. "Oh right, well do you live in Australia?" he asked hopefully. "Nope I live in Boston," I replied. "We can work something out, how about we meet in the UK?" he asked like it was so easy. " Are you crazy, we haven't even met at you are asking me to meet you in a different country?" I asked, "As much as I would love to I don't think I would be able to anyways." Hailey snatched the phone away from me. "Riley would love to meet you, when is a good time to go?" she spoke into the phone while I tried to grab the phone back. "Uh huh, ok, sure, Thanks, Bye Michael." she said. "What the heck Hailey?!" I yelled. "Riley," she said grabbing my shoulders, "This is a once in a life time opportunity! Please don't pass this up." Hailey was right, I couldn't just pass this up. Somebody was asking me to join there band. "Oh, did I mention they already had a record label?" she asked smirking. My eyes widened and a smile crept from ear to ear. This changed everything, I had to go now. "I'll do it!" i said. "Sweet!" she squealed. Michael said you should fly out in about a week and you guys can talk there." she said. " Are you going to be my manager or something?" I asked sarcastically. "OMG CAN I!" she asked looking like I was offering her a billion dollars. "Fine, wait...NEXT WEEK, I haven't even asked my mom yet!" I said.

 ~Next Week~

By next week me and Hailey were on an airplane heading to London. My mom had to stay because of work, but she told me to keep her updated. Hailey's mom was just a alcoholic and practically danced when Hailey and me left. Hailey looked at me and smiled, "I am so excited, I have never done anything like this before." she said. I laughed and said, "Same here." A little while later Hailey feel asleep and I watched tv on the little screen infront of me. Before I knew it we were in London an on our way to a loft we had rented. Hailey kept telling me when the band went really big she wanted to buy mansion. When we arrived I texted Michael. 'We are here, when do you want to meet?' He replied ' Well it is only 2:30 in the afternoon, how about today?' ' Sure, where' I replied. 'How about our place? We will send a car' 'Uh, ok then LOL' I responded. "Michael is sending us a car," I told Hailey. "Oh, are we seeing them today?" She asked. "Yup, we are going to there place." I said. Truthfully, I was nervous. We had face timed once before we came, but other than that we had never met. Also what if they ended up not liking me or something. Hailey must have noticed I was nervous because she said "Riles, don't worry. They are going to love you and you will soon be in there band! Get excited!" " I know, you are right. I have nothing to worry about." I said smiling. 

    When we arrived at there house we went inside and a man told us they were in the recording room. Wow. There house was not huge but it was defiantly not small. We made our way to the back of the house and found the recording room. The door was see through, but we knocked anyways. We entered the room and they all stood up and smiled. "Hi Riley and other girl I talked to on the phone," Michael said. " Hi Michael, and the is my bestie/manager, Hailey" I said. They all smiled and waved at Hailey and she did the same. She kept looking at a boy with dirty blonde curly hair, Michael and I both noticed and he winked at me. "Riley this is Ashton, Calum, and Luke and you obviously know who I am." I smiled and said hi to the boys and they smiled at me. Except Luke, he just looked at me. "Luke, are you going to say hello?" Michael asked. "Hey," he said. I just smiled and said "Hey," in a quiet tone. "So," Michael said breaking the silence. "Can you sing for us?" "Uh, ok I guess." I said looking at Hailey. She just smiled and gave me an encouraging nod. I sang "Let Her Go" by Passenger. When I was done they all clapped. "You are so in!" Calum yelled with a smile on his face. "Defiantly!" Ashton and Michael said. Luke just smiled and nodded like he was impressed. I smiled to myself feeling proud and worry free. I suddenly felt very close to the boys.
