Chapter 6

The next day me and the boys worked on some music. They wrote the song and I edited the music for the background.I felt proud that I was able to do more then sing in the band.

The next day we were just sitting in the studio room when Ashton got a call. It was from his(our) manager.”Yes,Really? That’s fantastic,Riley will be so excited, Thank You so much Adam! Bye Now” After Ashton was done he looked at me and the boys with excited eyes. “What did Adam say Ash?” I asked in a curious tone. Luke bit his lip and furrowed his brow. “We are going to the states!” Ashton yelled. My eyes widened and smiled like an idiot. I was going to be able to see my family! “OMG YAY!” I screamed. Michael laughed, “Excited are we?” “Yes! You guys can meet my family and I can take you to my favorite places and-“ I was cut off by Ashton “Wait! We are not going to Boston, we are going to Los Angles.” Now the boys looked worried as if I wouldn’t be excited. “We can also not go anywhere else, so no Boston.” Ashton said. I was a little upset but I was still happy. “That’s fine! I can see my dad!” I said. I had never told him I was leaving the states. He would just get worried and not want me to go. I hope he will be proud that I will be doing what I love. “Oh Cool! Have you been there before?” Michael asked. “Yea, I have visited him a few times but never told him I came here.” I explained. Calum’s eyes widened. The boys looked worried. “Will he be mad at us for stealing you?” Luke winked. “I don’t think so. He might be mad at me though. Or maybe my mom.” I said now looking at the ground. Now we were just quiet. Calum looked at the ground then asked “Anyone hungry?” “ME!” Luke screamed. We laughed then went to get food. 

I just ate a sandwich but the boys really chowed down. I giggled and Luke looked up with food all over his face “What?” he asked. This made me burst out laughing. The boys looked at me then Luke and started laughing too. Luke just shrugged his shoulders and went back to eating.

After we ate we went back to the recording room. The boys finished writing the last song without me in it. I was excited for the next song, once again because it would be the first one I would be in. Right now I was just working on the music editing and picking out beats for the background. I wrote down the notes as I went along to give it to the boys when I was done. “Looking good Riles.” Luke said from behind me. “Oh he talks!” I giggled. He raised an eyebrow, “I have talked to you before!” He whined. “Haha I know but you are pretty quiet,” I said turning back to my laptop. “Well,” he said siting down next to me, “Maybe that is just around you.” I turned to him furrowed my brows to make me look sad. The boys were now also looking at us. Michael made eye contact with Luke and shook his head. “What? I thought we were cool now?” I said looking from Luke to Michael. “We are! Just - never mind” Luke said. I looked at Michael and he bit his lip and turned around. Now I was upset. Was there something I did to upset him again? Why didn’t they tell me what was going on? I stood up, grabbed my laptop, and left. “Wait Riley!” Michael called after me. I turned around to looked at him. “Luke didn’t mean it like that he just has something going on now.” Michael explained. “Ok what’s wrong with him then?” I asked in a annoyed tone. Michael just looked down at the ground. I was about to turn around and leave when Michael pulled me into a hug. “Do you trust me?” he asked still in the hug. “Yes,” I said with my voice being muffled in his chest. “Ok then,” he released me, “Then know we will tell you as soon as we can.” I half smiled and nodded, “Ok fine,” He smiled and pulled me back into the studio room.
