Chapter 8

Me and the boys finally arrived at the resturant after about 45 minutes of driving. When we got to the returant I looked around for my dad. I immediatly saw him because he was the tallest one there. He is about 6'4. Hey gave me and smile and came over to me. "Hi baby girl!" he said hugging me. He looked at the boys and raised an eyebrow. "Are these your friends?" he asked. "Yup, this is Micheal, Luke, Calum, and Ashton." I said pointing to them. "Hello sir," they all said in unison. "Hello," he said "Let's go order lunch." he said.

After the waiter took our order my dad asked, "So how do you guys know each other?" "I am in their band," I said a bit scared how he would react. As he was about to respond a few teengage girls came up too us. "Hi, umm, are you guys 5 Seconds of Summer?" a tall blonde asked hopefully. We and smiled and said "Yes," "Oh cool! Can we get a picture?" the shortest one asked. We all stood up to take the picture. They said their tanks and left glancing back as they left. "So, you guys are pretty popular then?" my dad asked sounding slightly dissapointed. "Yea, I actually moved to Australia with Hailey to stay with them." I answered like an adult. His eyes widened "WHAT! WITHOUT YOUR MOM?" he was almost yelling. "Yes Dad. I am old enough to stay with my band!" I said almost about to stand up but Calum grabbed my wrist pulling me down. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!" he said yelling this time. "BECAUSE I KNEW YOU WOULD ACT LIKE THIS AND TRY TO STOP ME FROM DOING WHAT I LOVE! IT IS NOT LIKE YOU WERE THERE FOR ME ANYWAYS!" I yelled standing up. I could se the hurt in my dads eyes. Had I gone to far? I could see the tears welling up in his eyes. I kept my eyes locked on his with a serious and hurt face. I could see everyones eyes on me, including the boys. "Dad," I said in a lower voice, "This is my life now, are you going to try and take it away from me?" He looked at me with confused eyes, then glared at the boys, "This is all their fault isn't it! Are they the ones making you act this way?" he asked. "No," I said, "Are you going to try and take it away from me?" I asked sternely. He looked at me with hopeful eyes, "No Riley, no, but remeber I don't like this 100%" he said as if that would change my mind. "That's fine, as long as I am happy right?" I asked putting my hand on the table so I could get closer. He just sat down and ate. I did exactly the same thing. I could feel the boys eyes on me, Calum touched me leg and smiled at me. I smiled back and touched his shoulder. "Should I know anything else?" he asked glaring at Calum. "Nope, that is all for now." I said. 

As we were finishing I could feel the guilt rising up inside me. I burst into tears startling the boys. "Are you alright?" Calum asked me putting his hand on my shoulder, I shook it off and ran over to my dad, "I am so sorry Daddy!" I said crying "I didn'y mean it, you know I love you!" I said crying into his shoulder. "Of course baby! I shouldn't have shouted and jumped to conclusions. I am happy as long as you are happy." he said breaking the hug. "Aaww!" the boys said in unison. I giggled and went over to hug them. "I love you guys," I said laughing and sniffiling. "I can tell you are safe with them, right?" my dad asked. "Yes of course! She is like our little sister!" Ashton said ruffiling my hair. My dad smiled and took a picture of me and the boys. "Send it too me!" I said. He nodded and also had the boys put in their numbers incase something happened. He paid the bill and we walked toward the door. He puled the boys aside and wispered " If you every hurt my daughter in any way, I will hurt you." he said putting an emphasis on the you. I just pretended not to hear anything, even though it wasn't much of a wisper. The boys nodded firmly and my dad smiled "Perfect." he said. We said our goodbyes and then took off in our seperate dirrections. "Well that was...fun" Micheal said chuckling. "Oh yea totally, such party!" I said. The boys laughed and we got back to our van.

"You can see he really loves you you know." Luke said with no emotions. "I know, it just sometimes just feels bad not having him around." I said looking down at me knees. He nodded and put his head on the window. I did the same and eventually fell asleep. Later I could feel myself being carried and opened my eyes to see Micheal, Calum, and Ashton behind me. That mean that Luke was carring me, but dosn't he hate me?
