My vision returned in a room which I recognized as the watch tower. Thankfully Doctor Fate brought Wally and Dick with us. "Vertis! Oh I've heard so much about you." A voice said and Bruce's face contorted into a snarl. "Vandal Savage." Bruce said and I turned to see a tall,well built man with scars crisscrossing along his face. Beside him was the one and only embodiment of chaos.
"Klarion." I spat. "Hey." He said waving childishly. "From the stories I've heard I expected more than a puny girl." Vandal said and I was infuriated. "Well this 'puny girl' has the capably to kick your fucking ass." I shouted at him. "WALLY!" A scream was heard and I turned and saw three friends. Superboy, Kaldur and M'gann. They were chained to to the wall by electric cuffs. M'gann was the one who screamed and I saw horrified looks on Superboy's and my brother's faces.
"What do you want?!" I shouted. "To see an empire fall." Vandal smiled. "I'm just in it for the chaos." Klarion said. "A empire that falls from enemies, that can be rebuilt. But an empire that falls from the inside. That is truly dead." Vandal smirked. "So you wanted us to tear each other apart?" Bruce asked.
"Precisely. Using chaos images we placed theses holograms in certain spots at certain times. Soon you'll all be dead." Savage laughed. "We used the real heroes as energy. So when you wretched girl showed feelings the barrier that gave us control over the superheroes mind broke. That made the illusion fade." Vandal frowned.
"We eventually just had to use Doctor Fate to bring you here. Not as fun but necessary. Now you can join your three friends in the afterlife." Savage sneered. "Wait, three?" Superboy asked us. "Robin, Wally and Artemis." I said looking away from them in shame.
"But the best part! You were able to prevent them!" Klarion cackled. "If you just let Superman kill you the entire team would be alive." He grinned and I felt sick. "Vertis that not tr-" Kaldur was cut off by a hit to the head. "Please. Don't hurt them." I begged. "Oh I won't do anything!" Vandal said and the zeta-tubes activated and there appeared Roy.
