Roy is a traitor?

I stared in shock as Roy walked stiffly over to Vandal and stood by his side. "Kill them. Kill them all." Vandal commanded and Roy loaded his bow pulling back the drawstring. "Roy. Don't listen to him!" Bruce warned but was cut when Roy shot an explosive arrow and Bruce had to dodge.

"Roy. It's us. Don't you remember?" I tried but Roy just aimed a arrow at me. I handspringed out of the way and landed near Superboy. Using my metal arm I ripped off the electric cuffs and they clattered across the floor. "You distract him I'll get Kaldur and M'gann." Superboy said and I nodded.

Roy was getting closer and I smiled. Roy couldn't defeat Superboy. I was pretty sure that he didn't have any foam arrows or anything in his quiver that could stop the clone. I ran up to him dodging arrows and engaging in hand-to-hand combat.

He knocked me to the side and Vandal stood firmly on my chest. "Get off!" I yelled. Looking around I saw Bruce trapped by chaos magic and Superboy was facing Roy alone. He was bravely leading Roy away from M'gann and Kaldur. He punched Roy into the wall and Roy was knocked unconscious.

Superboy was breathing heavily but looked fine. I was relived that he was okay until I saw the glowing piece of kryptonite lodged in his neck. "SUPERBOY!" M'gann yelled and I couldn't do anything but watch as Superboy fell to the ground. Empty eyes staring ahead blankly. I had already lost too many friends. Too much family. "So sad. All of your friends are sacrificing themselves. Too bad it's in vain." Savage said and he stepped on my throat. I choked and couldn't breath. I clawed at his foot but he remained steadfast.

"NO! LET HER GO!" Bruce yelled but Vandal just chuckled. "The dark knight has family after all. Too bad she's almost dead." Vandal said and my fighting grew weaker by the second. I stopped writhing and my arms dropped to the floor.

Vandal and Klarion were too busy watching my die to notice that M'gann, in her anger had broken out of her chains and freed Bruce and Kaldur. She used her telepathy to throw Vandal off of me and I gasped when Vandal's foot was raised off my windpipe.

I clutched my neck gingerly. "Vertis are you alright?" Kaldur asked. I nodded not being able to speak. "Go." I mouthed gesturing to Vandal and Klarion. Kaldur hesitantly nodded and rushed off to help M'gann and Bruce. I crawled to Wally, Superboy and Robin and sat by their bodys. Protecting them from further harm.

"Where is the rest of the justice league Vandal?" Bruce asked angrily. Or more like commanded. "Somewhere in the watchtower." He laughed and Klarion created a portal, him and Savage escaping through it. Once vandal was gone the remainder of a once strong team walked forward and they sat by me.

Looking at their body's I couldn't help but think. How could someone so strong. Be so fragile? I sighed and buried my face into Kaldur's shoulder. "I want him back. I want them all back." I whispered through my tears. "I know. Me too." Kaldur said softly.

"We will grieve after we find the justice league but we will grieve." Batman said and we all got up. "I don't want to leave then here." I said looking down at the two boys body's. Mangled and blood soaked. "We have to." Batman said putting a arm around my shoulder. "What about Roy?" Kaldur asked and M'gann glowed green with fury.

"M'gann!" Bruce yelled and held her back. "Hey KILLED SUPERBOY!" She yelled. "And if you kill him you're no better." Kaldur said and that snapped M'gann out of her murderous state. "He's gone." Bruce said and M'gann collapsed sobbing.
