Fourteen

"He what?" Sarah said, anger striking her. 

"He used our child against me." Theresa repeated. "Look, I don't know what to do. He said that he wasn't going to give up on me." 

Sarah looked at Gray. How did Jay know where Theresa was? How did Gray know where she was? 

"Theresa, I'll call you back later." Sarah hung up on her. 

"You spied on me?" Sarah said right as she hung up her phone. 

"Maybe." Gray said. "I needed to see." 

"Needed?" Sarah questioned him. 

"I'm going crazy over a girl that I barely know." Gray faced her. "I.." 

"Please, stop." Sarah stood. "I have to go." 

Sarah grabbed her stuff and left. She had a wall built up around her heart and he walks in tearing it down. She didn't like it, but she did. 

"Sarah, please." He grabbed her wrist. "Give me chance." 

Sarah looked at him. She gave him a sorry look. 

"I'm sorry." She pulled her hand from his grip. 

"I won't give up on us." Gray said. 

Sarah stopped and turned to him. Her heart filled with love for him. He walked over to her cupping her cheek. 

"Ever since I laid my eyes on you ... I wanted you." His eyes searched hers.

Theresa walked into her room angry at Jay. She can't believe he would use their child against her. 

"I hate him." Thersa sat on her bed. 

"No, you don't." Charlene walked in. "You wish you could but you can't." 

Theresa looked at Charlene. 

"I think you should give him a chance." She said. "I know this isn't what a best friend should say but think about your child." 

"I told him that I wouldn't push him out of our child's life, but as of mine." Theresa paused. "Those hurtful words still stick too me." 

"I bet he didn't mean them." Charlene sat next to her. 

"I can't just forgive him like that." Theresa stood. 

"It's been weeks now, since he said that." Charlene argued. 

"Words hurt." Theresa said. 

"Since when did you care about what people said!" Charlene shouted. "He's willing to make things work and you're being hard headed like always." 

Theresa pouted. 

"Give him a chance." Charlene walked to the door. "Before you end up losing him."
