After a brief treatment, I asked where Jimmy's room was and I walked. I knocked on his door and he let me in. "You doing ok, baby?" I asked. "Yes. I am. Just have to stay for a week." He replied. "I'm sorry, sweetie. Do you know where you're going to stay after you're discharged?" I asked. He sighed and said, "I'm staying at my parents' house in Oak Park." "That's not bad." I assured him. He laughed and said, "I know." We talked more until my pager went off. "I have to go, honey. See you later." I said, kissing him. "Alright, see you soon." He replied, kissing me back.
A week later, Jimmy was out of the hospital and temporarily moved into his parents' place. We visited each other from time to time. We came up with wedding and reception plans. Jimmy would move in with me after our honeymoon. Life just fell into place. It was wonderful.
