Chapter 4: Nightmare

I heard something, someone, the sound of footsteps was getting closer and closer. I looked

over at Shane who was fast asleep, I tried waking him but I failed.

I saw a shadow at my door I rubbed my eyes hoping it was my imagination but no... It was real

It was Brian. Brain was standing at my bedroom door pointing a gun right towards Shane.

I started shaking Shane trying to get him to wake but nothing was working. Suddenly the gun was shot. Shane was dead.

Shane's P.O.V.

I woke up to lisa crying and screaming my name LISA! WAKE UP!! I screamed. "Shane! OMG your alive!" "Are you okay?" I asked her gently stroking her hair trying to comfort her.

"Brian was here he had a gun, I tired to wake you but you wouldn't budge I tried to save you but you just wouldn't wake up I'm so sorry."

"Lisa!" " it was just a dream I know you wouldn't want me to get shot, I'm fine your okay you don't need to be sorry you did nothing wrong!" She hugged me while under her breath I heard her say "but It was so real."

It broke my heart that she was so scared and there wasn't anything I could do but tell her everything will be okay, which I was just referring to the book she had on her desk that every once in a while I would look at.

I woke up to the ringing of my phone I check the clock it was 10:30, why is Sage calling me?

"Yessssss?"

"Sorry it's so early but I thought you would want to know.... "

"Okay what?"

"Brian's out of jail, somehow he was proven innocent, I think Kailey had something to do with it."

"What..." My heart dropped. This can't be happening.

"Yeah, and I had a weird dream about you last night, you and lisa were sleeping when Brian broke into your house and shot you.. You died."

"Lisa had the same dream"

"That's creepy Shane, you have to be careful or maybe the dream will be turned into reality.

"Sage ill be fine it was just coincidence, but what happened to Shawn I really want to talk to him"

"That's the other thing, Shawn's in a coma and better yet Kailey's going crazy she hasn't been the same, she hates you, she said she wished you would have gotten shot instead."

"That's pleasant but what about Bailey what happened to her?"

"She's fine we'll she still a little confused about the whole thing and what went on." ... "All I know

Is that she still upset about her party being ruined."

"We'll I guess that's understandable I should probably apologize, but if you hear anything else let me know"

"Okay and be careful I don't want my favorite cousin getting killed, your all I have"

"I'll be fine I promise and thanks Sage love you...bye"

I don't know how I'm going to tell Lisa.

Lisa had finally woken up to the sweet smell of waffles. I had been planning all morning of what I was going to tell her or better yet how...

"What's all this?" Lisa smiled while giving me a short but sweet kiss on the lips.

"I know you've been stressed out so this was the least I could do." "That's so sweet Shane thank you, she said smiling but I could tell she was still terrified of what happened last night.

"Listen we need to talk" I quietly said to Lisa when we were almost finished with our waffles.

"Shoot" she said not looking up at me.

I sighed "lisa, Sage called me this morning to tell me that... Well Brian was somehow proven innocent, so he's not in jail..."

She was shocked a small tear went down her face before I had the chance to wipe it off she left.

I didn't go after her I knew she needed to be alone.

The only thing I could think of doing was straightening this whole thing out with this Kailey girl

So I decided to visit Shawn at the hospital, but I needed to bring Sage with me.

I didn't want to go, but I knew I had to.
