Chapter 12: News

Lisa....Sage I have some news.

Shane's POV

I watched as Sage and Lisa looked at each other confused not knowing what I was about to say or how much it may affect them.

"Ok? What's the news?" sage said breaking the silence.

My heart was pounding, the air felt hot, then my lips finally made out the words

"I'm directing and starring in a movie" I said waiting for their reactions.

"THAT'S GREAT BABE!" Lisa said running up giving me a hug. At that moment I wanted to cry

I didn't want to see her excited face turn into sadness or anger. "Yeah it is great but.. I'm leaving for five months" everyone at the tables faces went pale even the people it didn't effect like Kailey and Shawn and Bailey and Matthew.

"Wait... Your leaving me... Us? Now?" Sage said looking at me tears forming in her and Lisa's eyes. "When..." She whispered "two days" I said not wanting to make direct eye contact.

At that moment Sage got up at ran outside while Bailey and Kailey went after her.

Lisa let go of me and sat down not knowing how to respond.

Kailey's POV

After the news settled into Sage, she ran.. To be honest that's what sage does she runs away from the hard and difficult problems never knowing how to express her feelings or to show her weak side.. I don't know why She's so afraid but she is.

Me and bailey knew we had to go after her so we quickly ran outside.

When we opened the door I saw Sage crying.. She was taking it hard and I knew why

She finally had a family and a father like brother who cared for her... But she was loosing him to his dream.

"Don't cry Sage" bailey said hugging her while handing her a tissue.

"I'm sorry.. I know it's probably stupid for me to be crying but I... I.. Can't help it!"

"It's not stupid, he's your happiness and he's leaving.. you have the right to be sad" I said sitting on the bench next to her.

"Yeah thanks, but Lisa should be the most sad, I mean there actually together"

"You both have the right to be sad sage, but come on get up. Lets go back and find out what's going to happen" she shook her head yes and hesitantly walked back inside.

Lisa's POV

I was in shock... My heart stopped beating, it was broken.

I didn't know what to do so I just sat down and picked at my half eaten salad.

"Lisa... I'm not leaving you for good, I will still be here just not actually here"

I didn't say anything back because that sentence that just came out of his mouth.. didn't help me at all.

"Honey..?" He said disappointedly. "Yeah"

After I replied Sage, Kailey and bailey walked back in to the table, I watched as Sage quietly sat back down next to Sam gripping his hand "great birthday dinner" she said giving a fake sarcastic smile.

I could tell that smile made Shane uncomfortable and scared.

Bailey sat back down with Matthew and Buried her face into his shirt avoiding the awkwardness.

Kailey went back to holding hands with Shawn and tried to ignore it.

"You guys listen... After 1 1/2 months I'm coming back down here... In 3 months you, mom, jarred and Sage can come back up there and stay with me or you guys can come separately, doesn't matter"

"That sounds better. But not great since I still have to be home alone without you for the rest of the time." "I will Face time you every single day, I will text you at any moment, I will keep you updated" I gave a small smile and walked up to him giving him a kiss "I'm still happy for you though". "I know.. Babe i know" he said kissing my head.

Shane's POV

After about another 30minutes of awkwardness Sages birthday dinner was over.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Shawn and Kailey said Simultaneously then laughing about it afterwards

They both got up laughing while Shawn picked up Kailey spinning her around then gave her a sweet kiss while they were exiting to his car. Then bailey and Matthew were playing with each others hands smiling quietly he slowly leaned In for a kiss that I knew made baileys heart beat.

I noticed this all because it reminded of me and lisa when we were happy before everything bad had happened when sage had her family, before Brian messaged lisa. Just when life was nice and simple, me wearing wigs making dick jokes, lisa and her dare Wednesdays that I secretly loved. But I was soon hit with reality, the reality of that was in the past.

Me and lisa got in the car after telling my mom and brother goodbye her crying on how happy she was for me. Giving Sage one more happy birthday and a long hug while telling her I'm not leaving for good.

The car ride seemed to be extremely long, I guess because we weren't vlogging or laughing at our hilarious singing, it was a quiet car ride. Although lisa still looked at me I didn't look at her back because she didn't know I knew since I only saw it in the corner of my eye.

Finally the car ride was over and we were being greeted by Corny, I didn't bring up the fact I needed to pack I just knew I needed to do it tomorrow because lisa needed my love right now. So I picked out a movie turned out the lights, made a comfy nest for us, and made a nice snack of chips and salsa since popcorn was so cliché.

Then lastly I called lisa out of from our room, she was surprised to see what I did, she almost started crying.

"What's all this?" "Just a little after date" I said opening my arms out for her.

"Your so sweet" she said kissing me, actually now we were pretty much making out.

As we were kissing I felt tears fall, it made my heart ach that she was crying so I stopped the kiss and wipe away her tears. She smiled and cuddled up on my chest. I pressed play and let the movie do the rest of the talking.

After half the movie I noticed lisa had fallen asleep on me, usually I would pick her up and take her to the bedroom but tonight was different,

I just closed my eyes and fell asleep with her.
