That sentence, still remained in your mind for many years. It's been years since you left your mother, to become a pirate like your father. You felt bad about leaving her, but what's worse was when your little brother Jack, left mother as well to become a famous pirate, like his father and big sister.

You yourself is a very famous female pirate. You (Y/n) Sparrow, is known to be a very fierce pirate and no one would ever, want to get on your bad side sadly, many found out the hard way.

You own a ship called the white pearl, because of the pure white sales and light coloured wood. Some pirates say, that the ship being white, was a terrible idea, especially because you'd draw in a lot of attention to pirate hunters. The thing is though, you're not trying to hide away, can't say the same thing for your brother. His ship is called the black pearl, usually uses its blackness to his advantage.

"...Captain?" Jimbo your first mate called out. Bringing you quickly out of your thoughts.

"Hmm oh sorry mate I was lost in thought, what is it that you needed to tell me?"

"(Y/n) we've let down the anchor and now the crew are waiting for further orders" Jimbo said while giving you your captain hat, that you were ever so proud of. As you walked passed Jimbo, to the crew.

"Alright men, I know it's been a tough few weeks, and I must say, there is no finer crew, then all of you and for that with your earnings, go and have some fun on land and pray that you won't get anyone pregnant, if you did then congrats TO LAND MEN" you shouted the last bit.

"TO LAND!" They yelled excitedly while taking off. You turned around to face Jimbo.

"Come on Jimbo, come join me for some drinks with the other captains" You smirked, getting a smile in reply. You swung your left arm over his shoulder, while his arm stayed around your waist. Yourself and Jimbo had been friends since you were born and when he found out that you were going to be a pirate, he begged you if you were ever to be a captain, he would able to be the first mate.

Flashback

"Hey (y/n) can I ask you something," Jimbo asked nervously. You put down the book you were reading, then placing your elbows on your knees to show that he had your full attention.

"I-I wanted to ask you, if you ever become a captain that you make me first mate"

"Jimbo, of course, you'd be my first mate,  you're the closest friend I've ever have, I mean tell me one person you think would be a better first mate"
