A/n sorry the last one shot was quite short, this one is hopefully, going to be a very long one. I'm also going to make a part 2 of, (Evie x male!reader 'sometimes the best plan is no plan'), which, was very kindly asked by, (I'm not sure, if they want me to mention them, so if you do just let me know and then, I can mention you in the Evie x male!reader). You silently walked outside of your apartment, carefully trying to not make any sounds.
(flashback)
There you two were, both sleeping peacefully in each others arms, the moon light just peaking threw the curtains, a silent breeze outside, it was just so quiet and peaceful. That is until your ears were awoken, by your phone going off. Luckily for you, Shay was a deep sleeper and didn't notice the noise. Annoyingly you did and you were having a lot of trouble, trying to get out of his grip. When he finally let you go, you were able to see whoever it was calling, at this time of the night and "surprise" it's your mum.
(Present)
"Sweetie what took you so long to answer, was I interrupting you, are you driving?" You immediately pulled the phone away, from your ear before they got the chance to explode, you swear your mum talks so loud, she wouldn't even have to call you, she just needs to go on top of the roof and yell.
"Mum remember the times are different, in England to Australia it's like, one in the morning here" You said yawning in between words.
"Oh I'm sorry (n/n), I just wanted to know, when you were planning on, coming over for Australia Day?" You silently rolled your eyes as you've had this conversation already.
"Mum you know I don't like celebrating that day"
"Oh come on (y/n) where's your Australian pride?" Your mother asked humming the Australian anthem.
