Evie x male!reader 'sometimes the best plan is no plan' part 2

Y/n POV
"Well wasn't that an interesting meeting" I stated sarcastically, as I caught up with The twins, both quickly turned towards me in shock.

"How the bloody hell! do you keep doing that!" Jacob exclaimed loudly, looking for different areas where I, could've been hiding.

"I believe it's called hiding in plain sight, except not dressed up as an old lady with a moustache" I replied, a smile tugging my face as I noticed I got Evie to laugh. Her laugh is so beautiful, her face like an Angel. No stop (Y/n) remember what mother and father said, don't let emotions compromise the mission. " So, where are the two of you off too now? after Mr Abberline I guess to the children" I questioned whilst walking in between Evie and Jacob.

"Yeah, let's see if I can find the filthy dipper that took my money"

"Honestly Jacob, how did you let a child half your size and possibly age steal from you" Evie snorted at her brothers' misfortune.

"Actually Evie they're trained to pickpockets, I know because I helped quite a few of them myself"

"So you trained them to pickpocket!" Jacob exclaimed, swiftly checking his valuables.

"Well I only helped where it was needed, as a child my mothers' way of training was to have me, living on the streets now and then, so I know a lot of the tricks"
I suddenly came to a halt, as I saw Clara and another child, throwing something in a hat, but I didn't get to see what they were throwing once the twins bumped into me. Obviously not paying attention that I had stopped walking. I looked back at the two, with a disapproving gaze as they both looked down embarrassed.

"Hello (Y/n)" Clara greeted sweetly, as she walked over to me, placing her tiny hand on mine. "Still looking as knight like as ever"

"Heh, and you look as powerful as a Greek Amazonian warrior" I complemented, smiling back at her pink dusted face. "Clara, I have some people here to see you" gesturing to the twins behind me.

"Ah you must be the Frye twins Mr Green was telling me about" she turned to Evie alone and smiled "you must be the princess (Y/n) needs to save, then you can both get married and have children" Both Evie and I were a blushing mess whilst Jacob was laughing his head off, at Claras' bold remark.

"I don't think so Clara, Evie is way to skilled for me to save her" I replied, looking up at Evie, as she had more of blush on her face.

"Yet, you didn't deny the marriage" The young child smiled deviously, the other children snickering in the background at Evie's redden cheeks.

"Clara I was told you could help us?" Evie asked, trying to ignore her laughing brother.

"Yes but, only for a small condition, you see children like us are working hard labours for long hours only getting little pay, I need you to free them"

"A small favour?!" Jacob scoffed

"Help those children and we have a deal" Clara said, Evie and Jacob shared a look before Evie kneeled down in front of Clara, both spitting in their hands before shaking them. I just can't wait, to see these two in action. Hopefully as good as Greenie said they are.
