Camila's POV

I wasn't fast enough. The small time frame that passed from me getting to Lauren's side was not enough. I was not quick enough. Lauren released me from the magical barrier Keana had placed on me, and just a few seconds after, her body fully collapsed to the cold ground. A small sad smile formed on her lips, but that was it. I fell to the ground besideher, loud sobs escaping my mouth and then the ground shook. I looked up and Keana stared down at the two of us. The witch shook her head furiously.

"What the hell are you doing?! Help her!" I looked past her and saw Owen laying on the ground a few feet away. "Do something!" I jumped at the tone of her voice. She was hurt both physically and emotionally, but she did not even try to hide it.

"I can't," I said.

"Camila you have to!" Keana let herself fall beside Lauren. "You cant let her die!"

"I cannot even look at her! How the hell do you want me to fix her if I cant even look at her!"

"You're just going to let her die after everything she did for you?!" Keana stood and ran towards me, angered at my lack of hope. "You are a pathetic, ungrateful piece of shit!"

"She left me!"

"But she came back for you! Don't you get it?! Lauren chose you! She always chooses you, no matter what! You are always her first choice, she never does anything without thinking of you, and this is how you pay her back?! You are letting her die, smart ass, help her!" I felt those words sting me deep. Never had I ever been told anything like this before, something that awakens my soul and proves that I still feel for her. That Lauren is my weakness, and that without her, I am no one. Lauren gasped. Both the witch and I turned to face her. Keana rushed to her side and pressed her ear against her chest. The witch turned to me. "Her heart is slowing down, so you better do this right now or I swear to you that I will kill you like the snake you are." I got up and dragged my feet towards the raven haired girls body. I felt my skin crawl upon seen her arm was broken, the bone slightly peeking through the skin. Lauren's bottom lip was split vertically, and her face was pale,. Purple and dark green bruises started to farm around her cheeks, and on her forehead and chin were deep gashes.

"Camila," I felt my lip tremble and I closed my eyes. "All you have to do is touch her, it is going to hurt her for a little, but she will die if you don't help her now," Keana said slowly, emphasizing every words that came out of her lips. "Oh my god," I looked at the witch and noticed her eyes looking at something far ahead. I didn't have to look to know that Owen had awakened from the spell that the dark witch had thrown to him. Without a second though, I reached over and touched Lauren's shoulder, applying pressure to make sure my healing power would work efficiently. The bones under my palm begun to crack and reposition themselves and I slowly begun to slide my hand down, to repair every single injury that Lauren had.

"Keep going, okay? I have to go. Lauren will know what to do when she wakes up. For now, just make sure she does." Keana said before running towards the evil man who begun to stumble his way onto his feet. Lauren screamed and I returned my attention to her. The green eyed girl's face was contorted in pain and I closed my eyes once again. I never really learned to live with pain, and I was not ready to see her, the woman I love, suffer because of a simple fear to the unknown.

"C-Camila," Lauren whispered. "I'm sorry," She said. Her arm begun to stitch itself together.

"Shh, don't speak right now, okay? I'm almost finished."
