Y/N's P.O.V.
"Damn it! My leg.." The angel guy grumbled, clearly annoyed.
"What'd you do now idiot?! Break it?!" I yelled at him, also clearly annoyed.
"Well, for your information, I'm pretty sure it was already injured from when I fell." He muttered.
"Yeah, whatever, hurry up! Lets go." I started walking like I was in a hurry. I really wasn't though.
"Alright, you try hurrying with an ALMOST BROKEN LEG." He snarled.
Yeah, our "conversation" got pretty heated. I told him to suck it up, he asked if I had ever broken a limb, I hadn't. He then stated that I should be glad he was actually walking. I told him he should be glad I'm letting him heal at my place.
We were almost out of the forest, still arguing, when I stopped.
"Crap, forgot to buy the groceries. Since you CAN'T MOVE APPARENTLY, stay here and wait." I told him, my eyes narrowing.
"I CAN move, I just don't want too." He replied, sitting down on the forest dirt.
I took off in an actual hurry, my mind is all over the place, swimming with questions that I should have the answer too. Like, why did I invite him to rest at my dumpster? Why am I coming up with these snarky retorts so easily when I don't need to? I could use that fast thinking power at school, BRAIN.
I reach the grocery store, and who do I see? My friend, my good friend Kayla. I quickly entered, pretending I didn't see her, and hoping she didn't see me.
Kayla knows something is up with me, she doesn't know of sibling who must not be named leaving me. But if she sees me, alone, she'll 100% think something is fishy. She is with her mother, maybe her mom will distract her from me.
"Y/N!! Hey!" She calls to me, waving.
                               Nope, she saw me. Crap.
Not wanting to act weird, I wave, smile and walk over to her.
"What are you doing here, Y/N? Where is your brother?" She asked, curiosity written all over her face.
"Me? Oh, my brother asked me to get the groceries. Gotta do my part in the family too, y'know." I lied. I've gotten good at that since brother left.
"Oh, that's cool. Oh, well I gotta go. See you on Monday!" She exclaimed as she followed her mom to the meat section.
I waved and continued on with getting the groceries. I breathed a sigh of relief that she didn't think anything was That fishy. I felt bad for lying, but it had to be done if I didn't want to seem suspicious. After I finished and paid, I took off. I was about to go with the street route when I remember about the angel guy. I also realized that I didn't know his name. I went into the forest and found him sitting in the exact same spot as when I left him.
"Lets go." Was all I said to him and took off for home/dumpster.
Well, it's not actually a dumpster, but it might as well be. I don't like cleaning up, okay?
He followed not saying a word, as we reached my house.
I unlocked the front door, groceries in hand and walked in, he followed. It occurred to me that I didn't know his name, and he didn't know mine. But I'm not going to be like, I'm Y/N, what's your name? And shake hands with him, hell no.
"How long do you think you'll stay anyways?" I asked him after I closed the door.
"Until I can fly again, also known as, when my wings recover. As soon as that happens, I'm leaving." He answered, as he flopped on the couch.
"Great, and who knows how long that'll be. I might have to put up with you for awhile..." I grumbled. He ignored that remark.
"Oh yeah, you got any medical supplies laying around?" He asked.
"Yeah, in the hallway closet, one of the middle shelves. You'll notice it." I replied as I put food in the fridge.
"Found it, thanks, I'm gonna use some of this stuff, okay." He said.
"Okay, but you better not use all my stuff by the time you leave." I told him.
"Yeah, yeah. I get it." He replied, rolling his eyes.
I get the feeling that he is a good for nothing person, using my stuff, and never returning the favor. Who have I let into my house?!
