Operation "Get Dark Pit to Help Me Again"
"Yo, Dark Pit!" I yelled as I entered the house. Dark Pit jolted up, wide red eyes blinking at me. Whoops, he was asleep. A pang of guilt shot through me as I began to apologize.
"Oh sorry-" I started.
"-'s fine. What do you need?" Dark Pit asked, rubbing his eyes.
"Help."
"What?" He narrowed his eyes, waiting for me to continue.
"So... you know how my brother left me here?"
"No? Well I know he left but was there more to the story? Don't remember."
"Okay so what happened was..." I'm not sure why it's so much easier to talk to Dark Pit about this than my friends but it is what it is.
"So... he left you by yourself and pays the bills? But he left no way to contact him..." Dark Pit said, summing everything up quickly.
"Uh... Yeah that's essentially what happened."
"Wait why are you telling me this?"
"Um... well my friends and I reconciled but they asked about what's been going on that started the argument and I should be honest right and-"
Dark Pit cut me off "Whoa hold on, do you really think I can keep up with a million words a minute? Idiot..."
I chose to ignore his last comment. "Uh sorry" slipped out of my mouth. What?! Why am I even sorry? I don't understand anymore, why did I say that?! To him! Dark Pit, the kid who's been staying here for... way longer than he should have been. Huh...
"...You gonna repeat what you were trying to say? We don't have all day." Dark Pit stopped my train of thought, reminding me of what I was going to say.
"Right. So I did apologize to my friends and we're cool and all that jazz. But now they want an explanation on what's been going on and I can't just lie again."
"Well, if you want my advice... Get it over with." I gaped at him, was he thick?! This guy is unbelievable! As if it was that simple, I wish. I wouldn't be telling him this if I could just up and tell them!
"Dude, I would if I could, BUT THAT'S NOT AN EASY THING TO DO."
"Well what else are you going to do? Hate to break it to you, but there are limited good options" I sighed in defeat, he was right... again. Running a hand through his hair he spoke "Why're you asking me? If you don't like my advice ask your other friend... Kayla?"
"I'll be damned, you got it right."
Operation "Ask Kayla For Help and Take Credit For the Idea"
After speaking with Dark Pit, I made a beeline for my phone. Turning it on, I saw I had a text from Shelly, but I was in too much of a rush to read it. Instead of texting before to make sure she was there, I just phoned. One ring... two... three... aannd voicemail. I began to text her why I called so she won't be confused. "Hey Kayla, sorry for suddenly phoning you, I just beed you advice on somethig can you call back when you can"
That was an offensive amount of typos and mistakes.
I waited for a response for an astounding two minutes. Two. Whole. Minutes. I'm becoming so impatient, oh no. She did respond though, I sighed in relief at the sight of those blessed three animated dots.
"heyy still wnat me to call??"
I called her instead. She picked up immediately.
