Chapter 5-The Past

Zoe's POV

I always knew Darcy had,had a bad past but I didn't realise it had affected her this much. She is currently sat next in mess,crying her eyes out and rocking back and forth. It absolutely breaks my heart to see her in this state and I want nothing more than to find out what's wrong with my best friend. But I'm going to sit and hug her until she's ready to talk,like a good friend would.

After about 25 minutes she's calmed down and is just staring at the card. "Hey Darce" I whisper, she looks up at me with sparkling blue eyes. "Can I see the card?" She nods and passes me the card.

It reads:

To Darcy!

Happy birthday sweetie,I miss you so much! I hope your enjoying your time in London,I really wish you'd visit! Me and the rest of the workers have decided since our little ball of fluff is 21 today we'd buy you a special present! My number is 07529416291,call me or FaceTime me?

I have no idea why this affected her so much,she's never talked about her past and I've never asked. It's not my place to push her to talk about something she's not comfortable talking about.

"Zo" she whispers, I hum in response, "why have you never asked about my.. Um past?" She whispers.

Darcy's POV

It's been 3 hours of happy and sad tears. Having to explain to my best friend why I moved to London was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do but we are stronger than ever now.

Me and Zoe decide to re-do our make-up and go out shopping and for some food. She rings Alfie and Joe to see if they want to come along and both agree. "Hey Zo" I giggle, "yeah?" She says completely unaware of what I'm about to do. "Turn around" I laugh,as she turns around I squirt water in her face and run off laughing hysterically while she chases after me shouting "I AM GOING TO KILL YOU DARCY MONROE"

After we recover from the 'situation' we get into Zoe's car and drive to Nando's where we are meeting Joe and Alfie.

We walk into Nando's to be taken over by warm air that smells like chicken,causing my stomach to rumble. We see Alfie and Joe waving us over and Zoe happily skips towards them. She gives Joe a small hug and dives into Alfie's arms. I walk up to Joe slowly smiling warmly towards him. "Happy Birthday Darce" he says, engulfing me in a warm hug. I inhale his fruity scent and don't want to let go. "Thank you" I smile at him widely as I let go of his embrace. Alfie gives me a small hug and says "happy birthday" passing me a card. "Thanks Alfie" I say smiling brightly.

Once we have ordered Zoe begins to talk about the present I got from Niall(obviously the tickets). "Alfie,when are you going to see them with Joe?" Zoe asks. "7th of August why babe?" He replies. Me and Zoe share a look of excitement and squeal earning looks from others customers. "That's when we go!" Me and Zoe say in unison. "We have backstage passes too" Alfie laughs. "So do we? She got them from NIALL FREAKING HORAN Alfie!" Zoe laughs loudly. "Oh yeah" he says blushing. "It'll be good to meet the lads" Joe chirps up. "Yeah,Niall's so sweet and kind,you remind me of him Joe" I smile while Joe blushes lightly and laughs.

After the meal we go back to Zoe's to edit my video's on my new laptop. She shows me everything i need to do. We get bored quickly so we help Joe and Alfie film their videos. First is Alfie doing an 'askalfie' video with Zoe,so not really and 'askalfie' but whatever.

It's safe to say that video was pretty hilarious. It had Alfie's legs being waxed,Zoe taking a shot of vinegar and them both getting 'smack cammed' by me and Joe.

After they had finished Joe hadn't a clue what video we could do so he tweeted, 'guys! I need ideas for a video me and Darcy can do together,nothing rude though;)' I laugh as he reads out what he wrote.

20 minutes later he checks his twitter with me watching and one thing kept coming up repeatedly. 'The Boyfriend Tag'. "We can do something else if you want?" Joe says, "No it's fine,I think this May be interesting" I say laughing quietly. Joe smirks along.

"HELLO!" Joe shouts while I giggle. "Today I am here with my good friend, DARCY! Say hi Darcy" "Hi Darcy" I giggle while Joe sends me a playful glare. "What are we going to be doing today Darce" "Well Joseph,we are going to be doing the boyfriend tag! This is not because we are in a relationship,it's is because we have known each other a LONNNG time" I say smiling. "Right then,let's begin!" Joe says, "The first question is, when and where did you meet?" "Well,we met at school when we were 12 or 13? I used to sit at the back out of the way and Joe used to always get into trouble and get sent to the back and he used to sit next to me. I guess I've been stuck with him since then" I giggle as he playfully shoves me. "Yeah,what she said" Joe laughs. "Question 2! First impressions" I say looking at Joe winking. "I thought you were hot, and quiet. Good combo" Joe laughs loudly as I shove him playfully. "I thought you were hot then,I don't know what happened!" He says again,I give him a playful death stare and he shuts up. "Well I thought Joe was one of those stupid boys who got into trouble for attention and didn't care about anybody but turns out he was the complete opposite" I smile as he laughs and Zoe giggles behind the camera. "Question 3!" He says, "was it love at first sight?" "Yes yes of course,Joe I'm madly in love with you" I say and everyone in the room begins to laugh really loudly. "I thought you were all right,didn't need the confession of love though" he winks. "Last question!" I shout, "What annoying habits dose the other person have?" "I've got one!" I say, "go on then" Joe replies. "Breathing" I say with a completely straight face but Zoe laughs causing me to laugh. "Thanks.." Joe says faking hurt, "only joking! You know I love you really Joseph!" I giggle causing him to smile. "So if you enjoyed this video give it a thumbs up and subscribe! Also Darcy's just started her own channel! So her links are below, go follow, subscribe, whatever else you can do!" "And also if you aren't already subscribe to Joe!" I say. "BYE!" We shout together and Zoe turns the camera off.

"Well that was fun" I say laughing at Joe. "Sure was Darce" he says winking. "Come with me a min?" Joe asks me. "Yeah" I say following him into the garden. "Here's your present" he says smiling brightly,his eyes sparkle when he smiles,I never noticed that before. I open the small box to see a pair of diamond Tiffany and co earrings. "Joe, you really didn't have to,these must have been so expensive!" I say. "Hey,it was worth it to see the look on your face" he says staring into my eyes.

He slowly leans in our foreheads touching,his eyes close and my heart races is this really happening?

"DARCY! JOE!" Zoe shouts,we pull away quickly and I run back into the house to Zoe putting the earrings carefully into my bag before she notices them.

That was close.
