Chapter 6-Good news!

Darcy's POV

It's is now the 10th of July and all I can think about is that stupid almost kiss. Was it supposed to mean something? Was it just in the heat of the moment? Why did Joe buy me such an expensive present?

But Joe wasn't the only thing on my mind. The birthday card from back home was still sat there on my fireplace,I refuse to ever move it. I've gone to call the number a few times but I always get to scared and put the phone down before I do. I would love to talk to Debbie and all the girls that took care of me when I was in that sta-

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

I'm cut out of my thoughts by someone pressing the buzzer outside my home. I go to the door and look through the peephole. It's Zoe and Alfie! I open the door and Zoe skips happily in while Alfie holds a huge goofy smile and saunters in after her. Wonder what's got into those two! Me and Alfie have grown close over the few weeks I've known him,he's such a sweet and nice guy but if he ever hurt Zoe i would- let's not get into that.

"Hey Zo,elf" I say,using Zoe and Alfie's nicknames. "Heeeeeeey" Zoe says,very happily. "So" she says,I nod for her to continue, "yanno how next month were going to see 1D?" "YES" I shout,suddenly feeling very happy. "Welllllllllll" Zoe says,dragging the 'l' sound, "I have a photo shoot with Alfie next week with 'pointless teen mag'" "um,congratulations!" I say,not understanding why that has anything to do with us going to see one direction. Zoe and Alfie laugh at my confused face and Alfie carries on. "It's a photo shoot with One Direction Cee!" Alfie shouts,using his nickname for me. I jump up and scream out loud. How come Niall didn't tell me about this?

I push that thought away and hug Zoe. "I love how you just assume your coming" Alfie laughs. "It's one direction!" I say giddily.

"Okay" he says, "name one member OTHER than Niall" he says smugly. "LIAM" I shout. "YOU ONLY KNOW THAT BECAUSE YOU'VE MET HIM" Alfie sulks,and I flick him a 'fuck you' smile. "Okay then Miss Monroe, name all five members of One Direction" he says with a cheesy grin. Shit.

"Um, Niall,Liam,Tom? Danny? And Dougie?" I say,not having a clue. "NO!" Zoe and Alfie shout in unison. "That's Mcfly!" Zoe says. I knew those names seemed familiar. "Look,I like them for their music not to know their names" I say defensively. "Oh my gosh why am I friends with you" Zoe giggles. "BECAUSE YOU LOVE ME!" I shout,diving into her arms.

A few hours later after we've filmed some videos for each others channels we sit down and decide to order pizza. Oh gosh,I haven't checked my YouTube today. "What are you doing?" Zoe asks me as I grab my MacBook. "Just checking YouTube" I say quietly. "OH MY GOD" I shout, "I have 250,000 subscribers" I say almost in tears. "YAY!" Zoe says excitedly. Wow that happened quickly! We calm down quickly but it's still on my mind,it's now a mixture of 'holy shit 250,000 subscribers' 'the almost kiss' and 'home'.

About an hour later there's a knock at the front door, Zoe jumps up chanting "pizza pizza pizza pizza" I leave her to it and giggle slightly. She comes back with two large margarita pizzas and says "it's on me". I quickly say thank you and tuck in.

"I'm so full!" I say after my 5th slice of pizza. "So gooooooood" Zoe says. "Do you mind if we stay tonight Darce? I'm so tired" Zoe says. "Course you can!" I say happily, "there's a toothbrush under the sink Alfie and this sounds weird but I bought some new boys boxers the other day that I haven't worn yet so you can have a pair" I laugh. "Why did you buy boys boxers?" Alfie asks puzzled, "I sleep in boxers and baggy t-shirts" I say laughing harder. "Oh" he says blushing.

It's about 11:30pm and Zoe and Alfie have decided to go to bed. I say good night and go to my bedroom. Mia's curled up at the bottom of my bed fast asleep until I step on one of her squeaky toys causing her to wake up. I get into my pyjamas and crawl into bed. I pull my MacBook onto my lap and check all my social networks(instagram,twitter,tumblr,YouTube)

I see a tweet from Joe saying 'Miss you Darce,hope to see you soon:( Xx' with a selfie we took on my birthday before the 'almost kiss' happened. I haven't taken the earrings off since I got home on my birthday. I reply with 'Miss you two:( even though we've only spent 4 days apart;) haha,I'll stop by soon Xx' almost straight away I get a reply. 'Okay gorgeous!;) night night:* Xx' butterfly's erupt in my tummy from the word gorgeous. Why is Joe making me feel like this all of a sudden? 'Night night Joseph;):* Xx' I reply.

Well,I think we all know I'm not sleeping tonight.
