Darcy's POV

We boarded the plane and I still can't believe what Joe has done for me. He said that it was for Zoe and Alfie's anniversary as well as they had been together 1 year this week.

I sat next to Joe and Zoe was sat halfway across the plane next to Alfie. They were giggling at something and I smiled to myself thinking about how cute they were.

"Hey" Joe whispered.

"Yeah" I sigh back.

"Get some sleep, you've had a big day princess" butterflies immediately erupted in my stomach, why does Joe have such an effect on me?

"Okay" I whisper.

As I was drifting off into a peaceful sleep with my head resting on Joes shoulder I hear him mutter "I love you" but by then I was in a land of bliss.

2 hours later and Joe is nudging me.

"What?" I moan.

"Listen" Joe whispers.

"Hello, this is your captain speaking. Welcome to Venice, Italy" a deep voice spoke.

I lifted the shade up and saw one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. A long canal, with lights all along the side. No cars, just people walking and talking, Ice cream stalls all along the waterfront and little gondolas riding down the canal.

"Wow" I breath out.

"Welcome to your home for the next 2 weeks Darce" Joe whispers, his lips less than a centimetre away from my ear.

I turn my head quickly and I'm met with those sparkling blue eyes that I have grown to love. The cheeky little smirk that never leaves his beautifully tanned face, his mop of super soft hair that I want so badly to run my hands through. And his beautiful pink lips that I would do anything to kiss right now.

I resist the urge to smash my lips into his by excusing myself and going to the bathroom to wash up. As I get back to my seat, the seatbelt sign flashes and the plane begins to descend.

"We're home" Joe says, smiling brightly at me.

And indeed, we were.
