Righteous and Holy

To live a holy and righteous life
Is what I strive to aim
But recalling my past life
I am in guilt and shame
In my own strength
I am not able to do
Even to great length
Nothing will do
Only in my Lord Jesus I am
Brought out of darkness and shame
By the sacrifice of Himself as the Lamb
Into Righteousness in His Name
The sacrifice of His Body and Blood
Is the only means to righteousness
And in His abounding Grace we would
Live a life of true and pure holiness
