Seth's POV

I walked out of the penthouse and leaned against the door. My heart broke. I did the hardest thing I had to do since the first time I walked away from her. I left her alone crying for a second time. As I was leaning against the door, I heard her sob out. My heart winced. She was in so much pain. I heard the pain in that sob through the door. A tear rolled down my cheek. I couldn't bare to hear her in pain. I grabbed the doorknob and hesitated. I knew I should walk away. But I couldn't walk away again with her in this much pain. I did it once before and it broke my heart to leave her crying. How could I do that to her again? As much as I knew I needed to walk away, I couldn't. I opened the door and ran in. I had to calm her tears. I found her on the floor in the living room. I rushed to her and knelt down next to her. I quickly picked her up off the floor and held her, tightly, to me. "Baby, please don't do this." I begged as seeing her in pain hurt me so.

She had her head buried into my chest and was clinging onto my shirt. "Please." She pleaded. "Don't leave me. I can't bare you leaving me again."

I didn't say anything. Her voice was filled with so much pain. It shook me to the core. I stood up with her in my arms. I carried her to the bedroom. I laid her down and crawled in bed with her. We laid together as I held her. We said nothing, just held each other as we laid together. Not long after, we dozed off. The first time in a longtime, we slept in each others arms.

Monica's POV

I woke up and found Seth next to me. I haven't shared a bed with him like this in so long, it felt good. I looked around and searched for my phone. I finally found it. It was six in the morning and Scott blew up my phone. Oh, god! I got up quickly but quietly. I didn't want to wake Seth. I gently kissed him on the top of his head and moved out, quietly. I raced home. I got there and walked in. I found all my boys sitting down for breakfast. I gave them each a kiss. I moved to the kitchen to find Scott finishing up breakfast. He saw me and almost demanded, "Where the hell were you?"

"I'm sorry. Work took a lot longer then I expected. You know how it is sometimes." I lied through my teeth. "I see you got the boys ready for school." I quickly changed the subject.

"Yeah, well, you weren't here and they have school." He plainly said. He was unhappy with me.

"Well, thank you, Scott." I said, sincerely to him.

He exhaled as he moved over to me and moved his hands around my waist. He seemed to have calmed. "We are going to marry soon, Melissa. They will be my kids too. My step kids but mine. So, I need to get use to things like this." He said, sincerely.

I smiled. He moved away as he went back to finishing up. I had a really good guy here. But I had another man who loved me and I loved him as well. This was all too much. I walked away and went to my bedroom. I sat down on my bed as I pulled out my phone. I went to reach out to someone I haven't talk to in a long time. Someone I needed at this moment.

Seth's POV

I woke up to find Lissa gone. Probably to run back to Scott. Why did I keep putting myself through this? I was almost out last night but I had to get drawn back in by her cries. Hearing her cry hurt me. I couldn't leave her like that. I sat up on the bed on the edge and rubbed my tired face. All this was too exhausting. I looked at my phone and it was past nine. Shit! I had a table read at ten. I hoped I could get there on time.
